Hypothetically, if a takeover ever happened. Any sort of top manager would walk in and bin that entire midfield. Hendrick is the only one there who thinks this is probably the best he’ll ever do. Shelvey, Hayden and the Longstaffs think or have thought of this club as a stepping stone in their career. Don’t tell me that talk of Longstaff to Man Utd didn’t flatter the cunt. He’s been dogshit ever since.

It’s gas watching him huffing and puffing not having a clue what to do when he comes up against a manager who knows what he’s doing. He picked the team tonight though so it falls on him, if he didn’t notice Longstaff looked totally shot in training that’s on him. Our players man for man should be better than what they are. But they never will be under him

Is Longstaff on Xanax?

Well that’s the end of the pressing idea ?

As good as they’ve been (Southampton), Everton are a far better drilled team and despite their injuries they still had enough that they should have beaten us. But they didn’t. If we play to the same level we can get something from this. If we get lashed out of it, it’ll be down to bad preparation.
-
How bad would it be for them if they spent another season or two in this league? Financially I mean, I’d imagine their budget is on a par with the other sides in that league now. Could they exist in that state without the threat of winding up?

A joy listening to Poch talking about his philosophy about coaching football. He knows what he’s talking about for sure. His English seems to have improved too..

Starting to look confident when it possession of the ball. Probably over confident when shooting on his left peg though. Really happy to see him get going here
-
It’ll take a few more games to get the Shelvey PTSD out of his system. Think we’ll start seeing a different player if he gets to form a partnership with Longstaff

So Roy, how would you sum up this half? “Pretty boring.. yeah, boring”

Most naive post of the year right here. I agree. He’s right about social media though. I mean, look at True Geordie, remember all those passionate ranting videos about how shit we were, or singling out players for not giving a fuck. Then just over the summer in his fancy new studio he says “I wouldn’t be the biggest supporter of nufc..” They are all self serving arseholes and I include the go to journalists in that too.

He’s just spouting what he thinks Mike Ashley will be happy to hear. He knows if a takeover ever happens he’ll be out the door quicker than Charnley so he’s buttering up the current powers that be. It will make things much harder for Ashley to act on if we’re in the bottom 3 come January/February

Aye! That's what I thought, price is appalling however, but design is decent. It’s an interesting proposition, would you pay double for a premium look replica jersey not to have a terrible sponsor on the shirt?

Never let the truth get in the way of a good story

He’s well traveled enough at this point for location to not be an excuse and that league is a load of toss. He should be doing better there. I’d love to have him back at the club because I think he gets it here but am also realistic enough to know he’s not been meeting his own standards there. If the league is a load of toss then I imagine he's inherited a load of toss too, especially with the restrictions in place. I don't think anyone has said he isn't meeting his own standards. I'd also imagine him being 'well travelled' is a lot easier in Western Europe than moving to China To suggest he should go to international management because of one poor move seems mad I’m not suggesting he go to that at all. I think he should target one of the big Italian teams as they do tend to change managers often. Pirlo at Juventus could end badly if they don’t win much but he’d also have to hope Ronaldo isn’t staying on their either. In fact, doing well in Serie A could be the perfect way to get his career back on track.
