  1. They can crack on with it and hopefully with tourism from the western world, they’ll gradually soften their stance like other gulf states.
  2. They’re happy to turn a blind eye to sportswashing when they’re lapping up corporate freebies. To be honest I think all this sports washing talk is laughable. I honestly think the Saudi’s are trying to introduce sports to their younger demographic and also diversify away from oil. If they get some good publicity in the process then I’m sure they’ll happy take it, but I think this sports washing narrative is completely over played.
  3. Just honest like the vast majority. The only real outrage I can see is from hypocritical journalists and Amnesty which you would expect. These journalists especially the local ones stirring the pot can fucking do one.
  4. Good article on Isak, would certainly be a real coup to get him and his dip might just help us. https://theanalyst.com/2022/01/alexander-isak-stats-overview/
  5. The response will be 4 nil to the Saudi boys when we’re romping to another away victory.
  6. Exactly, we can all have morals and belief’s, but you need to be sure your own house is in order before you start preaching to other people. This is where ordinary folk completely object to the hypocrisy and arrogance of these people.
  7. Get rid of Lascelles and Clarke, bring in Gvardiol/ Ndicka and Tarkowski. Hard not to see this as a huge upgrade alongside Schar and Burn.
  8. Emotional attachment is hard to break, but still physically putting money in the coffers and attending games becomes hypocritical at that point in my opinion. How many of us accused match going folk of enabling the Ashley regime, granted paying 40 quid isn’t keeping MBS in power, but I couldn’t bring myself if I genuinely felt that strongly.
  9. Granted I was still emotionally attached and read about us.
  10. I walked away under Ashley and never set foot in the place after Keegan walked. If you don’t like the Saudis you’ve got the same option, however you want to dress it up. The difference is as you well know, where about to be successful and it’s exciting so you don’t want to. If paupers from Iran had taken over I think some of these folk struggling with their morals might well have found it easier to walk.
  11. If I was tying myself knots like some see to be I would just walk away. I’ve got no problem with folk who practice what they preach and walk away because of their morals.
  12. I’m at ease with it a new away top hasn’t just brought this about. Everyone knows where owned by Saudi Arabia, people need to accept it or like LV said make choices, instead of boring the majority of us with their moral struggles.
  13. Caulkin gets on my tits these days bore off.
  14. Our owners are from Saudi Arabia and want to grow our support and income from that country. Nowt else to see here, it’s an away top who gives a fuck.
  15. No publicity is bad publicity, this shirt will fly off the shelves as a result.
  16. I predict it’ll be the biggest selling away shirt since the original maroon and blue hoop one in the 90’s. It looks smart and when the new signings start rolling, it’ll fly off the shelves both here and in the Saudi mall’s.
  17. Hopefully the drunken tramp Barry.
  18. Was Danjuma particularly great at Bournemouth, or has he just come to prominence since the move to Villarreal ?
  19. To busy scrambling for Wembo tickets marra.
  20. Anderson gets a good write up in this sky article covering the best young EFL talent this season. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12609728/could-brennan-johnson-or-keane-lewis-potter-make-it-in-the-premier-league-sky-bet-efl-questions-answered
  21. Brilliant mission accomplished, it’s almost like we’re starting to embrace being hated with this top.
  22. Left wing looks a bit stacked mind.
  23. That top will go down a stormer in the Bridges this summer.
  24. It’s not particularly the current squad, though I’d argue Bruno and Trippier should have parity with whatever Lingard is on, it’s the fact that it would be the benchmark for any new signings going forward. At this stage it’s not sustainable for us under FFP to carry that many high earners until our income increases.
