  1. Mathematically safe and all down to these people for sticking with the club through the dark days of the takeover. There can be no doubt that the future would be beyond bleak right now under Ashley, we would have potentially been looking at the club being stripped back further from the skeleton it was, Bruce taking charge in the Championship, facing the smogs and possibly mackems next season and fully expecting to get turned over. The press and football in general would have revelled in our relegation. What a turn around and I’d struggle to think of another club in football with a brighter and bigger future.
  2. Aye, never happening just wait until the first flights from Riyadh to Ponteland are announced. The mackems will be lobbying Sunderland Council to try and stop them.
  3. We get a mention as competition for Hickey in this article. https://football-italia.net/arsenal-step-up-pursuit-of-bologna-talent-hickey/
  4. Very wise move not paying Lingard daft money in my opinion. On the basis of half a decent season at West Ham it would be crazy. Yes there’s no fee involved, but in terms of the wage structure it would cause huge problems at an early stage going forward making him the benchmark.
  5. Dubious source but Fabian Ruiz alongside Bruno. https://www.footballfancast.com/newcastle-united-transfer-rumours/newcastle-fabian-ruiz-premier-league-magpies-barcelona-napoli
  6. They’re not happy with Wycombe getting 20k allocation , massive lads fans will be all over their end. I think amnesia has set in and they’ve forgot about the thousands of unsold seats they had for the Charlton final.
  7. Be a bit disappointed if Hickey goes to Arsenal for 17 million. Can play full back either side and looks to have big future. Personally would have gambled on him at that price, think he’ll have a higher ceiling than Targett moving forward. Scotland seem to be churning out some decent young full backs at the minute.
  8. Not so sure this is outlandish as it seems, the bloke at Sunderland previously worked at Birmingham and was credited with their youth set up. He possibly even signed Bellingham up at Birmingham in the first instance. Birmingham are a fucking mess at the minute and if the mackems come up they might be considering them. It’s worth remembering the age of this kid and similarly with Jude he probably wants guaranteed 1st team football despite his age. He wouldn’t get that at a PL club, so if he wants a stepping stone his family may trust the guy at Sunderland now with his development. That being said I have read previously that he’s considered better than Jude at his age, if that’s the case I would expect a PL club to step in and agree to loan him out for 1st team football.
  9. More Gerrard type who likes to put his foot in perhaps ?
  10. This seems to back up what you’ve seen on YouTube. https://smarterscout.com/articles/premier-league-ibrahim-sangare-ligue-1-toulouse-tottenham-hotspur-arsenal
  11. Exactly what we need a midfield enforcer, probably cheaper than Haidara aswell.
  12. Some set up off the pitch down there, but feel they’ve had success to quickly and often. The place should have been bouncing but I think they take it a bit for granted these days. Evolution not revolution is def the way forward and I think we’ll savour it all the more when our time comes. The journey is probably going to be the most exciting part and if it takes 5 years plus to be competitive at the top end who gives a fuck.
  13. Fucking hell if the scousers were stripped of their trophies due to doping it would be glorious, the world would never hear the end of it.
  14. Fucking hell he’s been Geordie Shored.
  15. Fantastic display and atmosphere pre match at the Roma game midweek. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1roOql4CADc
  16. Elliot Anderson - 9 Was in full flight from the off, causing countless problems down the left side and laying on Rovers' first two goals. First, his driven cross struck the unfortunate Oliver Lobley and ricocheted in. Then, a more measured delivery landed perfectly on the head of Connor Taylor. He threatened time and again in the second half before nodding home the all-important seventh goal that led the Gas to promotion.
  17. Some crazy games back at Maine Road in the day, both on and off the pitch.
  18. Aye, where in their end tomorrow. Not expecting it to be as lively as the last time we did it for the Tino / Keith Curle game at Main Road.
  19. Aye, they’ve been operating at reduced capacity for a good few years.
  20. Just like the takeover wrong again sold out. One look at this years attendances would tell you that they don’t operate at 37k capacity. https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/football-league/leeds-united-1-carlisle-united-2-graham-deflects-attention-as-leeds-sound-bum-note-827103.html I would just give up Fanny
  21. Exactly… In all seriousness my context to this was a mackem on RTG claimed they and Sheff Wed could have sold 60k plus last night. It’s simply not true and for all it’s a great crowd for league 1, the simple truth is the likes of us, Leeds, Liverpool, Everton, Villa and Salford would have sold out last night in the same circumstances. They’re a big club just not as big as they like to think they are.
  22. Hypothetical facts get with it.
  23. If it’s evolution so be it, good that they’re going about it the right way.
  24. Mackem metrics everything is in relation to NUFC. Bob Murray is still having sleepless nights that they don’t have 1 more seat than us.
