  1. It’s been a lot of years but it really does feel like a proper football club again.
  2. This game will probably see the most Newcastle fans at a match this season, Palace only have 2 blocks and the whole away end is sold out.
  3. Aye, was yet another example of the cuntish money grabbing regime. Happy to sell their own down the river that night for the sake of a few quid. Completey unforgivable and the mouthy scouse cunts who worked themselves got exactly what they we’re due that night.
  4. Time we beat these happy clapper, foam finger, small time cunts at home. HTFL
  5. Argh the mackems 2nd home Wembo….. Nah something unique about Villa Park or domestic grounds split in 2 for a cup semi.
  6. The FA Cup could re capture a lot of its magic by just scrapping Wembley for the semi finals. Part of the whole experience of the semi final was the anticipation of getting to Wembley for the final. The atmosphere at Old Trafford and places like Villa Park for semi finals was unique. It’ll never happen due to paying off the cost of Wembley, but for the sake of 2 games a year it would be a real boost to the whole feel of the competition.
  7. I’ve never seen anything in relation to external sponsorship?
  8. It only goes to the PL if it’s a related party though, if it’s an outside sponsor with no links to PIF they can pay what they like ? I have a feeling companies outside of Saudi Arabia who are keen to deal, or have dealings currently with PIF will be the main sponsor. Think we’ll be very clever when it comes to this and be one step ahead of the PL.
  9. They hate Shrewsbury because a few of our lot are pals with them dating back to England games in the 90’s. There irrational hatred of a small English market town is all mag related as per most things with them.
  10. Especially considering the Portuguese league isn’t one of the strongest. I suppose the only real stat for a striker is how many times they put the ball in the net though. I could imagine somebody like Andy Cole’s stats might look similar in terms of his overall game and nobody had any complaints there.
  11. Interesting read on Nunez in this thread, the writer does follow up later and say he’d be a good signing for us or West Ham.
  12. Elliot Anderson - 8 The difference. Rovers were superior but struggling to break through Salford's defences, but with Anderson the Gas always have a chance. He was unlucky to see a long-range bullet swerve wide in the first half, but he gave the keeper no chance in the second half with an arrow lashed into the bottom corner.
  13. GOAL! Rovers 1-0 Salford ELLIOT ANDERSON! Thomas takes the ball on the half turn and drives forwards, picking out Anderson on the left. He darts inside and arrows into the bottom corner at the near post. The roof came off. A huge moment for the Gas.
  14. Good luck to the Shrews today smash the cunts.
  15. Hope this has to be agreed by both clubs. If so we should point blank refuse, despite the fact a late saturday ko would be great fun for a variety of reasons.
  16. Keep your powder dry and wait to next seasons gear comes out with a decent sponsor on the front. We could have the best gear in the world but that fun88 looks shit on everything.
  17. Definitely if where spending big money get the spine right first, then the flair can be added later on. Bremer, Haidara and Nunez would give us a real core to build around for next few years.
  18. Think he’s probably a year behind in his development due to injury, should have been a championship loan this season. Great for you lads though and hopefully he leaves on a high note in coming weeks.
  19. I’m as guilty as anyone for watching the Paqueta highlight reel and thinking sign him up. However, I have this feeling he might be like a lot of flair players and a bit inconsistent, slightly concerns me that Lyon would drop him for their biggest game of the season. We clearly need someone to unlock the door moving forward, but for 50 million i’d rather see that go on a top striker or centre half to strengthen the spine of team.
  20. Don’t think it’ll be Benton Park View, got a feeling land to west of city towards airport is where they’re eyeing up. A more rural location with good road links and quick access to Newcastle International will be the desired location in my opinion.
  21. Wouldn’t be disappointed with Eriksson as a cheaper alternative to Paqueta, if it meant getting a real top striker and winger. Bearing in mind Nunez has signed with Mendes it could be a good sign that we are already dealing with him. From the Irish Independent. ‘However, it has been clear since the beginning of the year that Murphy's big move would be to the UK with a host of clubs in the mix and Newcastle have made an assertive move for his services. The player has been represented in talks by Polaris Sports, the Jorge Mendes controlled firm that has expanded its Irish operation to sign up promising young talent in the League of Ireland with Johnny Kenny (Sligo Rovers to Celtic) and Killian Phillips (Drogheda to Crystal Palace) two other players from the stable to move in the past six months.’
