  1. Done my bit with this tonight and sent to all 3. Not a bad letter and helps keep it in the political arena. It certainly can’t do any harm, any pressure is good pressure.
  2. There’s more at stake this time for Ashley.
  3. f***ing hell the kid, he’s about 28 or something isn’t he ? Not to mention if his comeback had been managed by Benitez and his coaching staff, he’d more than likely be a mainstay of the current defence. Lose tomorrow and he’s on the brink in my opinion. He would be under a normal owner, but do you think so under Ashley? I think he’ll protect his investment at all costs, and after McClaren they’ll not be bitten again. Add in the fact Howe is available at no cost, i suspect defeat tomorrow and at Arsenal will be the end of him.

  5. Seems Bein Jacobs has had a colourful past. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/article-1251554/CHARLES-SALE-Official-BBC-report-bares-Ben-Jacobs-sabotage-saga.html
  6. Going to get a Whitley mag etc on your case now Not me, if you don’t think it’s going to happen I respect your view. I do think you’ll be proved wrong in the end, but when that is the jury is still out. The only thing that’s riled me on here, was the calling NCSL embarrassing idiots. Hopefully Keith dispelled that last night, and we can all get behind any efforts to make this happen.
  7. This sums it up, surely everyone with this club truly at heart can just put aside any egos, disagreements until this gets over the line. The greater good is what we should all be thinking about at this point. On a side note thought the defence of Staveley was a timely reminder to all, she has assembled potentially the greatest consortium we could have dreamed and it’s tantalisingly close. No wonder we’re all on f***ing edge, the stakes have never been higher for this city and club.
  8. Says it'll probably all kick off this month In terms of the legal cases. Reckons it'll be done around March. His opinion obviously. Enjoyed listening him. An added bonus if he helps this get done, he’s a Durham Mag and we all know how mackems love them. Can you imagine the level of hatred if one has contributed to making us the richest club in the world.
  9. Most important line of all is he expects both cases to begin this month. Unbelievable passion, sacrifice and commitment to the cause, whatever you think of his letter writing skills.
  10. Back in the day when we were bigger than City, Chelsea and Spurs. Anyone who wasn’t around during this time can never appreciate how big this fucking club can be.
  11. I don't think any of us actually know what happened at all. I think we do know what happened, both sides have said that it was down to the PL deciding that the Saudi state should be included as a director (represented by a natural person, e.g. MbS). PIF refused to do that but the PL then refused to actually make that decision official by disqualifying the other proposed directors on that basis. PIF provided additional information demonstrating that they are legally separate from the state, the PL wouldn't budge and suggested arbitration. PIF requested that a formal decision be made, the PL refused and then PIF publicly withdrew. Link? All set out in Staveley's interview following the withdrawal announcement, the PL's letter to MPs and the PL's responce to the Club's statement that they had refused the takeover. Ahh, I thought you meant it had been stated specifically that it was MBS who they wished to test. I guess it's obvious enough though. Yeah, that has not been explicitly stated. The PL referred to an 'entity' and Staveley said they required the Saudi state to be disclosed as director, but I'm assuming that the state would need to be represented by a natural person, as would be the case with a company directorship. Did Staveley not indicate that they had offered to allow the whole of PIF board to be subjected, if so there are govt ministers with positions on PIF board. The key here really surely has to be proving that MBS is only a figurehead and has no active involvement day to day. Remove the piracy factor and I’m not convinced PL really give a s*** who is in charge though.
  12. They we’re trying to link Saudi Govt to the piracy so they could fail test. If piracy is not a consideration anymore, i’m quite sure all this lines of power/shadow director stuff will be conveniently worked around.
  13. Yeah that’s foul. And as you say, completely on us. Chelsea can be as cheeky as they want to secure new talent but we absolutely should have secured all the local junior clubs on these sort of deals. Horrendous. Hence why a takeover is crucial, the current ownership couldn’t give a shit about this.
  14. Not necessarily. I'm only speculating here but the reportings of PIF leaving the table were only ever reportings. It was a formal statement of withdrawal. Perhaps if they hadn’t withdrew they couldn’t change the test. Also though if they did meet the terms of the original test and the PL stalled. It would suggest the club is in a decent position to undertake legal proceedings It was not a formal withdrawal, it was a public statement, there is nothing formal about that. They can say whatever they want in a public statement, it doesn't have to be true and it doesn't formally change anything. The process of formally withdrawing their offer would have been done behind closed doors, if it was. The only elements of withdrawing from the deal that would be public would be discharging charges and dissolving the holding companies on Companies House, and none of that has been done. Also, the O&D test is set out in the PL Handbook, which is published before the start of each season. I doubt they would / could change the test without publishing the changes They issued a formal statement, as I stated. In the post above. Formal as in officially sanctioned. If they haven’t withdrawn the offer surely there would have been progress by now without all the legal manoeuvring? Also, if the offer has been withdrawn (obviously it has) and the PL then change the O&D test PIF will need to comply with the changes It was widely reported at the time it was the clubs role to withdraw from the test, and again it was widely reported they did not.
  15. Articles like this boil my piss. More examples of why the so called top 6 want to keep the rest in their place. This takeover can’t happen soon enough, with the current ownership we’re wide open to stuff like this. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9123817/Chelsea-plot-poach-North-East-talent.html
  16. He doesn’t explain what’s changed, just that he’s seen documentation that shows it has.
  17. Couple of interesting bits in this if you can get past Starforth’s drab voice. From 13 minutes onwards. Seller positive about this weeks developments in Middle East. Arbitration panel still not chosen, sounds like games at play and big concern FA chooses 3rd member. Possibly most interesting, Kennedy has seen documents that show after PIF walked the o&d test has been changed.
