Is there a fan base with as many Walter Mitty’s as this lot ?

Got to say I’d be disappointed if we pay big money out on Pedro, Semenyo or Elanga, all decent players and would improve the squad undoubtedly but not sure any of them take us to the next level. Elanga didn’t always start for Forrest and thrives on the transition, Semenyo seemed to tail off as the season closed and had some very poor showings down the stretch. Think Delap offers value for money at 30 million but really hope where not going to have our eye balls taken out just to get PL established players with a limited ceiling.

Can see Burnley wanting 35 to 40 million for Trafford now, budget really won’t go that far this summer shopping in PL. Priority for me is CB, RW, CM, CF and keeper, we only fill these positions by shopping abroad this summer and failure to buy in all these positions will be exposed badly next season with the extra games.

If Chelsea don’t want Santos we should be all over that, been sensational in France this season and we wanted him from Vasco.

Chelsea and Arsenal would buy Gordon given the chance and think the club would be open to trading Barnes if a Villa, West Ham, or Everton offered us our money back on him. Certainly couldn’t sell both but Barnes would be the one I’d consider trading if the right offer comes in.

Still rather keep him than Barnes as think he’s a far better player, but huge question marks about his mentality.

Perfect Willock replacement be brilliant if them losing today allowed us to poach him. Offer Barnes in some PSR deal if they’re in the shit.

Knew they’d play like they had something riding on the game, but we played completely into their hands with the 5 at back. Today’s performance this season isn’t in isolation, for today read Bournemouth and Fulham also where we just haven’t had enough about us at home. Squad needs a reset and would happily cash in on Barnes/Gordon, Longstaff and Willock this summer to raise additional funds if needed. Major opportunity with CL football to make the next step and think revolution rather than evolution is needed this summer. The midfield and wide forward areas are a major concern, real lack of quality in the final third that’s going to take big money to address.

Square pegs in round holes and this five at the back has conceded the initiative, confident we’ll rectify this 2nd half but by god we need a midfielder in the summer if Howe doesn’t trust Willock and Longstaff anymore.

Rather than make an announcement and then realise what they want to do is not feasible, the club have been determined to get their ducks in a row before going public with their decision. Confidential revealed in March that the intention is to move to a new stadium on Leazes Park and a video of how that would look was presented to the owners, with club executives proposing a capacity of 65,000. Newcastle could have released that vision at the time - much like Manchester United did with their 'New Trafford' design - but there remained work to be done at a local and national level of Government. The lease of Leazes Park is one such consideration. However, Confidential can reveal some additional detail around the proposed new stadium. We understand it would be 35 metres above the St James’ Stack, protecting its visibility around the city. The Cathedral on the Hill, as St James’ Park has become known, is unique in that it stands proudly above the city centre and can be seen on the approach from every direction. Staff want to maintain that feature. I’m also hearing that the club have been working with a company monitoring stadium atmospheres this season, with the intention of getting the acoustics right inside a new venue. Can’t decide on Mbuemo myself not many players bag the goals from wide right like he has, also think he works his bollocks off which makes him a great fit in many ways.
