  1. Course they did the disclosure the PL would have been forced into was unprecedented. This was worse than the Man City case for them, it was from a third party Mash Holdings and would have been played out in public, exposing them and the clubs pulling their strings blocking the takeover.
  2. I’m not convinced our scouting network has been transformed since Mitchell said it wasn’t fit for purpose, I wouldn’t be in the least bit surprised if a PL based player like Rashford who can play across the front 3 is somewhere on the list.
  3. Did they not pay Bein a billion pounds just before the takeover was approved to settle the piracy? Still of the opinion it was approved because we had the PL by the bollocks on the competition case, but nonetheless a pretty big outlay I don’t think they’re paying if they weren’t buying us.
  4. Still early doors but was billed as a big summer by those NUFC insiders, pressure will only build on club the longer summer goes without any business. The squad is just ill equipped to deal with CL football currently, feels like a lot of work to do and everything around the club seems very slow paced at the moment.
  5. I’m certainly not saying it was all down to Howe the people running the club should have given a clear job specification of the DOF role, I think that is the problem and one they need to address with whoever they appoint next.
  6. Very true can’t disagree with that, though long term think his concerns about his availability due to injuries might be well founded.
  7. The proof is 2 high profile DOF leaving within 24 months, pretty strong evidence that the job hasn’t been as advertised.
  8. Do you think Ashworth would have left if he was happy in his role ? there were plenty of reports that he thought the job wasn’t as advertised and he didn’t have the autonomy to make the decisions he wanted, Joelintons contract being one well reported example.
  9. Would he be a coup though ? I think I’d just leave Andy Howe and Nickson in charge of recruitment at this point. Think Eddie is old school and likes control of everything in terms of 1st team recruitment, have a feeling the short tenures of Ashworth and Mitchell will make anyone already employed like Ward think twice. We need someone to oversee the academy, youth recruitment and infrastructure such as new training ground, but this role will need to be clearly defined to any candidate and rubber stamped by Howe as it’s clearly not working with a DOF.
  10. Who in their right mind would fucking mutilate themselves like that, it looks fucking awful, what a clip the mackem cunt.
  11. Think he’s signed some good youngsters by the looks of it, but we’ll never know what his 1st team signings would have been, I suspect a little bit different to the current links though.
  12. Been quite underwhelmed by the links so far for a variety of reasons. I think Pedro potentially has a high ceiling so wouldn’t be against it, only caveat for me is that at 60 million he has to be a starter. We are crying out for a right sided forward and centre half, so unless we have circa 150 million plus to spend this summer, this would feel a real luxury signing if he was only a back up to Isak. If Howe is planning on changing formation great, he can pick a pass and hold the ball up, but it’s a poor signing for me if it leaves us without a right sided forward, or centre half.
  13. Think he’ll headline Glastonbury next year he’s gone up another level undoubtedly.
  14. Forrest went from relegation to CL contenders overnight.
  15. Got a feeling Everton might be a dark horse next season, very hard to beat under Moyes and they’ll add some players this season under new owners.
  16. Mackems, Swampies and anti Saudi brigade doubt more than a handful have ever been in the park.
  17. Crazy money when City have just paid 30 million for Cherki.
  18. Like where going to give them their Kelly money back daft cunts.
  19. Honestly, so far I’d be happy with Trafford and would have paid the premium for Cunha based on his ability and potential ceiling. Bar that not really.
  20. Can remember Swansea fans singing it at SJP back in the 90’s from the Milburn Paddock. Sang it much more in tune than the these daft cunts as well. Edit just read that thread on groomers and it’s page 7 before anyone acknowledges one of the most famous, original and local songs linked with a British football club, funny that.
  21. Rogers and Kamara are the only 2 i’d take from Villa, swapping one injury prone midfielder who goes missing for large chunks of the game for another would be underwhelming.
  22. Could be waiting for new CEO to announce it sure Eales due to go this month ?

    João Pedro

There’s at least another 2 allegedly on the list in Guehi and Elanga that fall in the same category, think we’ll have our eye balls taken out for both, or have to pivot and that’s when the extent of our scouting network and will to explore other markets will be tested.

    João Pedro

Seems mixed messages to me on one hand Howe says we can’t sign established stars, yet for me that’s exactly what Pedro, Cunha and Mbeumo are with prices to match. We don’t have the income of the cartel clubs, but seem loathe to take a risk on signings like this Greek lad. The cartel clubs are quite happy to let other clubs take the risk and then pay the premium, we seem caught between two stools for me. Can’t blame a manager for not taking risks when you’re under pressure after 2 defeats these days, but we seem very risk averse with this PL experience approach.
  25. Yeah ticks all the boxes also like that Lamine Camara at Monaco who would also fit well in our midfield 3.
