Surely just means if you all of a sudden qualify for Europe you’ve got a problem straight away, and rather than invest you’ll be looking to reduce costs.
-
Yeah you’d struggle to find many industries which turn their nose up to investment.

I agree it’ll persist and for the precise reason that other teams have spotted the weakness, including teams in the bottom half. It’s all well and good folk saying Howe doesn’t play with a 6 and it wasn’t a problem last season, the fact is teams have recognised the weakness and the only other way of addressing it is for the back 4 to play an even higher line, which we also can’t do because we have no pace at the back.

Not quite 15% disappointing allocation, they’ll probably not even sell out. -
Clearly he gets the rest of this season, but if this run of form was to follow at the start of next season, let’s not kid ourselves he’ll be out the door.

We’ve all shagged your wife Speedie Speedie…

Howe needs to find another string to his bow this summer, or i fear next season will be his last. Both him and his medical team have been found badly wanting this season it’s looked like amateur hour.
-
Eddie and Andy like this.
-
Oh hello another young British player linked from a big club who would cost a fucking fortune.

Midfield looked way too stretched when Joelinton went off last week. Play like that against these and it’ll be a cricket score, he’ll not do it but we should revert back to the year Hayden and Longstaff both anchored midfield perfectly against these under Rafa. The back 4 needs screening tonight whatever happens, these will cut us wide open if we play like recent weeks. -
I wouldn’t be surprised if a challenge to FFP was on the horizon, it all seems very deliberate from the club this week. Throw in recent articles from the likes of NDM around the anti competitive nature of FFP and I’d guess where there’s lawyers pushing this, somebody will eventually take the rule makers on in the courts. In the short term I think the club is playing sponsorship correctly and I’ve got no doubt if they wanted a training gear or ground sponsor it would be done by now. There’s a method here though and they’re drip feeding the sponsorship deals correctly to maximise revenues across the next few seasons. Short term heavy investment in the youth academy and smarter transfer dealings than last summer will help us be competitive.

I’m all for challenging FFP and clearly we have the means to do so if we wish. It’s clearly a restriction on trade and completely unfair, if you are going to limit what teams spend you do it the American way and apply it across the board as a cap so everyone can spend the same. Of course the top 6 won’t do that because they don’t want competition or a level playing field. What other clubs should at the very least be pushing for in the name of fairness is a Baseball style approach, which allows teams to go over limit, but pay a tax relief to other teams when they do. This would give the other clubs a financial boost I’m sure they wouldn’t object to and may curb the top clubs wanting to making payments to everyone else, when they breach limit.

Forgot to mention Isak out and Solanke in jobs a good un.

Could be messy 7pm in London with 6k on the drink all day. -
Probably the best away end I’ve ever been in, backing that day was relentless and will remember it to the grave. The impact KK had on the fanbase was incredible even in the greatest adversity in clubs history, we looked gone that day, but in a funny way I think it was the show of support that day that fuelled players and fans for the rest of the run in.
-
Bruno out, McTominay in, Eddie Howe’s Brexit Mags. Contract extensions for Ritchie, Dummett, Lascelles and Wilson to protect dressing room chemistry. Can’t see anyone complaining about 40% rise in season tickets this summer.

Gabbiadini is a horrible little cunt who gives a fuck what that little mackem rat thinks.

The age and make up of our crowd is the biggest problem, where losing a generation of young lads growing up with a culture of going to the match together. We desperately need to get the youngins back in and that doesn’t mean parents taking their young kids, it’s the lads in their early 20’s we need, being able to stand together, start songs, get pissed and goad the away fans. The place is like a fucking morgue and it’s even creeping into the away support now. SJP is now a sanitised soulless experience and I can’t see that changing without a significant change to ticketing and stadium layout.

Just corrected your last bit Dan was quite happy with those pesky foreigners at Brighton.
-
Not sure we need depth additions at the money he’d cost, we need upgrades to the first 11. We should be looking around for a young striker as back up, or preferably a versatile forward who can play across the front line like the lad from Sporting. Howe will end up out of a job if he continues to pursue his preference for expensive British players who don’t take us to the next level.

Best London away day and big allocation happy days. -
Very middle class and nouveau riche fan’s representation there, my thoughts where fucked as a fanbase and it’s happened sooner than I ever imagined.
-
That’ll add to their rage season ticket money going towards free beer for the mags.
-
Metro/train is much better craic and bit of a buzz, wasn’t as good once St Peter’s opened, but far better than being stuck on a bus for hours.
-
I fucking hope not 1st Derby I’ve missed at their place since 80’s and though I would struggle to get a ticket now, i wouldn’t want one with them arrangements in place.
