Think Dibling would make sense at around 30 to 40 million, perhaps wouldn’t dislodge Murphy straight away like Elanga and does give off Chris Waddle lazy cunt vibes, but undoubtedly talented. Seen some NUFC ITK mention Assane Diao from Como as a target, would be quite happy with a younger cheaper alternative to Elanga if it meant we could get another forward, GK, CB and midfielder.

Howe is in charge of transfers now though is he not ? We really don’t know who’s to blame for not signing anyone, if he’s narrowed in on PL players which we can’t afford then surely he’s to blame ? On the other hand if it’s because we have no structure in place without a DOF, or it’s because PIF’s processes are causing the problem then yeah Howe must be getting pissed off. Trouble at the min is we have no idea who is to blame for the inaction.

Think they’ve just gone with top targets first, but agree it’s starting to look incredibly naive to think on a limited budget you can prize players from other PL clubs.

What would folk recommend replica or pro version for this one, think pro looked better for home shirt, but can’t see any noticeable difference in design on this one ? Thought 3rd replica was better last year due to collar issue, but anyone seen both versions of this in person yet?

What about Mikautadze at Lyon not sure what happened when he went to Ajax? but been banging them in since returning to France. Looks the type of player who can play across the front line and Lyon might be ripe for the taking at the minute.

What about the young Spanish striker at Porto, would cost big money and could play Isak in the 10 role if Howe really is considering a change in formation. Sounds crazy to think about playing Isak elsewhere, but sometimes we do struggle to get him involved and i think he’s much better when not receiving ball with his back to goal.

As much as Pope had some stormers including the Cup Final I’m much happier now we’ve got some real competition. All these top teams have a keeper who can pass the ball out and sweep up at the back, think this might let us play slightly higher at times, alongside a centre back with pace could really give us a new dimension.
