Said it a while back it’s lads in their early 20’s we need to get in the ground, the place is like a fucking morgue.
-
The support is pathetic at the minute and only a designated singing enclosure and people being able to choose their seat can help it. The singing enclosure has to be at least 3k as well to really make any noticeable difference.
-
It looks dated, grim and at this point I’d take any city centre location as an alternative if it meant a new stadium.
-
Ederson, Diomande and Eze would be a decent summer.
-
If I was looking at the team today the obvious choices for upgrade in the summer would be Dubravka, Burn, Schar, Longstaff and Murphy. Very harsh on Schar perhaps as he’s been brilliant, but can’t get away from feeling we need pace at CB to really progress. We also need a reliable striker to back up Isak next season, hopefully with some wheeling and dealing we can upgrade at least 3 of those positions in summer.

Good player with the added attraction we’d shift shed loads of strips in Japan.
-
Lost Ollie Harrison to Chelsea under current ownership never any guarantees unfortunately.

Yip hung out to dry then dropped if this was Pardew, or Bruce folk would be spitting feathers. -
The new Anfield Road end is very uninspiring and shows how redevelopment is limited in comparison.
-
I mean even if it’s not real, we all know that’s their view and is being pushed at every opportunity by the red tops and wannabe spuds as a means of protectionism.
-
Which is fucking ridiculous why would Villa abstain in their situation.
-
They’ve voted with the majority every time which makes these comments contradictory surely.
-
Yeah fantastic setting, will generate further investment in that area of Liverpool and the design though not on the level of some new stadiums in America looks very impressive.
-
Great to see where no longer here to make up numbers and won’t be fucked with.

These were good at Spurs recently but without Cunha I fancy us. Where due a big performance at home and feel win is badly needed to boost players confidence as much as anything. -
Get the arena site bought off Homes England and stop fucking about. Castle Leazes will get bogged down in objections and red tape for years with no guarantee it would be approved. The atmosphere at SJP, sight lines, facilities and acoustics are shit, build something the envy of everywhere with the River and bridges as the backdrop. Everton’s new stadium pisses all over the recent Anfield redevelopment in my opinion and will generate massive new revenues for them.
-
Ederson looks the part hoping it’s not dependent on Joelinton leaving.
-
What makes you think that FFP restraints ? I’m fairly confident the people in charge at the very least are about maximising the value of their investment, the potential for growth is still there it’s just going to take more time unfortunately.

Just mates meeting for a catch up, until Potter gets the job of course.

Agree it just isn’t healthy in my opinion and find it hard to believe Howe junior would be employed by club if Eddie wasn’t there. If he deserves his promotion from within due to performance so be it, but who made the decision to promote him and was the role advertised to find the best candidate, I’m guessing probably not.
-
He’s just signed a new contract where was this link from ?

Can’t say I’m fond of this move but it was on the cards moment Ashworth left. Newcastle United have made an alteration to their backroom department by promoting Andy Howe to assistant head of first-team recruitment. The nephew of Eddie Howe will now be number 2 to head of recruitment Steve Nickson having operated as head of technical scouting since the ex-AFC Bournemouth boss was appointed as Toon chief in 2021. The move comes swiftly after sporting director Dan Ashworth left the club on gardening leave last week. It means that the former Plymouth Argyle scout will now have a bigger role in identifying key targets for the first-team and drops a hint that things are moving ahead of what will be a busy summer. It remains to be seen whether Nickson could potentially step up to a revamped sporting director role following the exit of Manchester United-bound Ashworth.

Back in the day this would have been spicy off the pitch with 8k plus at City, would have been windmilling all the way from Piccadilly to the Moss side. -

Getting them in the semi at Wembley would be worse, in a strange way think we have a better chance of an upset at their place.
