Not sure we need depth additions at the money he’d cost, we need upgrades to the first 11. We should be looking around for a young striker as back up, or preferably a versatile forward who can play across the front line like the lad from Sporting. Howe will end up out of a job if he continues to pursue his preference for expensive British players who don’t take us to the next level.

Best London away day and big allocation happy days. -
Very middle class and nouveau riche fan’s representation there, my thoughts where fucked as a fanbase and it’s happened sooner than I ever imagined.
-
That’ll add to their rage season ticket money going towards free beer for the mags.
-
Metro/train is much better craic and bit of a buzz, wasn’t as good once St Peter’s opened, but far better than being stuck on a bus for hours.
-
I fucking hope not 1st Derby I’ve missed at their place since 80’s and though I would struggle to get a ticket now, i wouldn’t want one with them arrangements in place.

I can’t get my head around when we stopped singing the Blaydon Races, it’s like the scousers not singing YNWA or Man City Blue Moon. Surely we can’t be losing our identity already we haven’t even won owt, or become anywhere near a global club yet. Its fucking tragic like, could even hear the mackems giving it the old constant Haway The Lads yesterday, we can’t even muster that these days.
-
I know I get society has changed but yesterday is a game when you would expect limbs for every goal. I remember the 1-4 everyone went beserk for every goal. We’ve got the worst song book and everything literally sounds shit at the minute. Years gone by the Blaydon Races would have been reverberating around the shit hole yesterday, didn’t even get an airing yesterday, we’ve turned into a generic fan base overnight it seems.

Never thought I’d see the day a derby goal was celebrated through a mobile phone. Some of the folk going to away games this season haven’t got a clue and are ruining our reputation as a great away support.
-
I certainly don’t think we need a David Batty type and agree with Joelinton playing it’s not as obvious. Still think at the top level the squad needs to have different options on ways to play, at home to Dortmund we were exposed horribly in the 1st half and sure Joelinton was playing that night.
-
Yeah different system to us but think either of those 2, with Bruno and Joelinton either side would make us stronger in midfield.
-
We desperately need a DM 2nd half yesterday hammered that home for me. Even those useless horrible cunts and in particular Pritchard was finding gaps between our midfield and defence. Not sold on Phillips in a permanent deal but I’ve come round to the idea he could do a job for rest of season. The ideal player we need is a Manu Kone / Douglas Luiz type of player and it should be a priority in the summer regardless of Tonali returning.

The sorriest looking mob I’ve ever seen at a derby match. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQrqSfUced0

Pretty clear at this point Ashworth wasn’t solely responsible for their transfer approach and agree I thought we’d be making more signings like this. In our defence Brighton probably have quite a bit FFP wriggle room with the sales they’ve made to take chances on players like this. I think our approach looks very rigid at the moment though and we seem very risk averse. I think Howe has strict criteria for signings and coupled with FFP that’s why where not seeing deals like this.

Looked like an OAP day out in the away end, think that’s the trouble these East Stand pensioners now have the means to do aways with the pensions triple lock. The away support has lost a lot of young blood with this ID check carry on.

Always their black and white masters.
-
Noticed that in 2nd half huge gap when Miley came on between midfield and defence.

We need to bury a few ghosts of the last few years tomorrow in my opinion, at this point and our current run of form I think tomorrow is massive for everyone connected with club, defeat is unthinkable and will be hard to recover from this season. -

Struggling to think of a game I’ve wanted to win more in the last few years. Tomorrow should be the day the Ashley years are put to rest and we remind these cunts that we’ll always be their masters. -

I mean it’s sort of funny they’d compare this to a Exeter and Hereford level shock and the mackems would lap it up, totally forgetting that they see themselves as our equals if not better every other day of the year. -

Fucking hell their YouTube whores are thick cunts if the last 24 hours are anything to go by. -
Unfortunately, i think there is an element of the manager pushing for young, British and PL experience as that’s what he prefers coaching.
-
Judging him aside, Gordon’s performances on the right tell us everything we need to know about them both playing in same team effectively for me. Just wasn’t a priority signing, Gyokeres would have been ideal for Howe, pressing machine and knows where back of net is, opportunity missed.
