  1. Banners draped over level 7 weather permitting and over railings should be a staple. I’m old school and like flags showing where folk are from. Beyond that I think you’ve done more than enough to help atmosphere and think it’s time the rank and file realised vocal support is what football is really about. I guess going forward if the standing area takes off, maybe concentrate efforts there a bit like Celtic do at Parkhead. Otherwise save the big displays for the big occasions.
  2. Kephren Thuram would be a great addition, like the idea that we want a holding midfielder and number 8.
  3. It’s entirely due to the make up of our support it’s changed for the worse. Songbook is pathetic and don’t get behind the team when they actually need it like yesterday. There’s no excuse for it we’ve been blessed with great owners, manager and a team that finally gives it all every week. What’s really worrying is we haven’t even won anything yet and we’re infested with whingeing spineless cunts who haven’t got a clue what getting behind the lads means.
  4. If today identified anything it’s that we need pace at the back if we want to play like that against certain opposition and we need a natural DM who can put his foot on the ball, we can’t just rely on Bruno to dictate games every week.
  5. Course he will exactly the way he refined in the league game against Man U. We lost to a team bang in form and a top manager who’s won European trophies. Howe is still a novice in relative terms and there will be many setbacks along the way, we take on the chin support the lads and move on.
  6. I agree with making the gallowgate the centre piece of creating the atmosphere, but shrinking the family enclosure would be my preference. The current huge family enclosure is a by product of Ashley trying to fill the ground on cheap, it’s huge and must be the biggest in country by a mile. Getting groups of lads u21 going to the match together and creating an atmosphere is a must with any expansion though, but to me that’s completely different to a family enclosure which should have no part in any singing/standing end. I wouldn’t even want the current U21 section turned into an expanded family enclosure, a couple of sections next to the away support giving a bit back and forth would be far better.
  7. More FFP shenanigans no doubt if they have done.
  8. I’ll have to YouTube this Veiga kid but that looks a tasty line up. No Joelinton, Willock, Gordon, St Max and Wilson either. Could realistically see one of Pedro or Diaby added in the summer with the other players you’ve mentioned, if St Max left then possibly both.
  9. Fair enough our possession stats would certainly be good with that line up.
  10. Ferran Torres still only 23 can play across forward positions and previously wanted by the consortium before he joined Man City. Ship may have sailed and competition would be hot, but would tick a lot of boxes.
  11. I’m not sure if I’m completely sold on spending 80 to 100 million on Rice, but don’t think he’d be a risk. You’d get a top proven PL player who alongside Bruno would on paper look quite formidable. Think Rice is pretty low risk in grand scheme of things, but whether he represents best value when we have other areas to strengthen would be the question.
  12. More incentive if any was needed to expedite redevelopment.
  13. Bellingham, Bruno and Joelinton would be a match for anyone. Back to reality and you’ll probably get Diaby, Ugarte and a good CB for the same money. Which is why at that money it needs to be a final piece of the jigsaw for any club looking at him, bar perhaps Chelsea who do what the fuck they like.
  14. Chelsea to sign Bellingham and Osihmen for 300 million on 20 year deals to see them to near pension age.
  15. St Max has been excellent last couple of games I’d be nervous about letting him leave, especially for a replacement like Barnes. Against Man U and City this season he’s showed he belongs at the top level, it’s just keeping him fit.
  16. Completely agree just don’t get signing Gordon to then sign Barnes aswell. Not sure if there’s many David Silva types around these days but that’s the type of player we need to compliment the pace and power we have.
  17. Trip to New York to see the lads very tempting.
  18. Can’t help but think Connor Gallagher will just end up like a Loftus-Cheek, there’s obviously talent there but think we can do a lot better and cheaper.
  19. I think a good summer for me would look something like this. CB Maxence Lacroix CM Ugarte/Thuram/Kone Forward Diaby/Pedro LB Ait Nouri
  20. The fact we are even worried about FFP is a joke when you consider these figures are pre their January outlay.
  21. The 2 mentioned plus one of Ugarte, Kone or Thuram for me. Depending on which one will determine how we utilise Bruno.
  22. I agree Ugarte maybe young but he’s cut it in European competition this season. I’ve gone off the idea of Maddison in recent weeks though he’s undoubtedly a great player. I think his injury record and the way we play with such high intensity just isn’t suited to him. Much better value on the continent and the summer gives us time to bed them in.
  23. Aye a 3k increase wouldn’t be feasible or worthwhile, I was sure original plans must have included SW corner aswell. Still think it’s going to take something spectacular and very expensive to get St James anywhere near 65k.
