Palace was the game when everybody threw paper aeroplanes wasn’t it? Don’t remember the Boro draw at all, though I suppose I was there
-
It’s not a particularly classy argument to win I suppose, but when various heroes of theirs- Keano, for one but basically all of football- shill themselves in Qatar it will be an incredibly simple task to point out the hypocrisy of their moral stance on us. This of course is why Twitter invented the term whataboutry

Unfortunately it had just gone noon, now the joke’s on them
-
Getting ever so slightly bored with this one. Not concerned, worried or scared. Just bored.

Why’s he doing the flute celebration though? I mean, come on.
-
Be nice if we could all get down there and support them

I know that video of the players cheering him when he went in at half time after scoring at Southampton was supposed to make us a all squee and blush and ‘this club’ ourselves to death, but is it only me that felt a bit embarrassed for the lad? Just felt a wee bit patronising.

Spare for Leicester if anybody needs one
-
Yeah, thought the exact same thing- he was being modest.

Happen to think from our point of view that the best case scenario is that their fans clamour for it- giving us handy pointers of hypocrisy- but that it doesn’t happen, because that feels complicated.

Also, ASM would have been injured. -

Was supremely confident we would beat Brentford; certain we will lose tonight. There is no science to a football fan’s pre-match feelings, and it doesn’t really amount to all that much anyway. -

Hopefully we apply to get it postponed again -
If Sunderland fans organised a picket line of our stadium because of Yemen, I would, even given the transparency of the act, support and refuse to cross it. But they won't. Because they don't actually care.

Captain Steak Bakes (now managing Blackpool/revising history)

The thing about Sam is, he's used to it. Sam will be fine, following his sleepless night. -
At the point where I'm wanting any result that puts Everton deeper in bother, tbh- even if it does have some vague impact on us.
-
If only there were some profession dedicated to investigating things.
-
What result is best for us?

The problem is...what's the difference between wanting to force Ashley out and just getting tired of how shit it was. Being perfectly honest I gave up my ticket because I was just bored of the entire thing. It was nothing more noble than that, but if a season ticket rested on it of course I would claim otherwise.

Somebody mentioned that game in 2004. Unless I'm wrong, that was the game which we sang 'If the Russian goes to prison, you'll be fucked.' So I am really not sure why football journalists are now telling us football fans about dirty money like we did not already know. I truly used to fantasise about this happening to Chelsea- the whole thing was just so massively unfair. Of course now any joy is undercut by the unease over our own ownership. Still, though. Funny.

I can’t believe that he used to be smart and funny either

Oh yes. Ian Woan. Fuck off, Thursday.

I remember that game at Sheffield United when shelvey scored that stupid goal that should have obviously never been allowed but which would probably be in my top fifty Newcastle goals. Now last night, which was ace. Any other Thursday domestic games I’m forgetting?
