Yeah it can't be helping. Williamson is a huge miss. The back line is elevated to another level when she plays. These guys look disorganised. They're losing all of their leaders which has a huge effect on the squad.

Yeah, there's a lot of research coming out that ACLs in men are decreasing but in women are staying the same. Called the ACL gender gap! Will be to do with hormones but it definitely needs looking into. I work with a male doctor at work who is currently updating the anatomy and physiology medical book because there are many female body parts/mechanisms not actually even mentioned in it, which is sort of astounding tbh but just shows how little research has been done on women's bodies and their difference. Anyway I hope it's not as bad for Walsh as feared. Not sure how old she is but hope it's not her last feature for England.

Yeah exactly, and once the standard across the board strengthens, itll bring more money, more professionals, more sports fitness, more research into women and fitness - we are seeing it at Chelsea now with research into how the period changes a women's ability. Football has done wonders for men's fitness and will do the same for women's. It's exciting to watch it grow. I'm buzzing for the Toon women's team, would be fantastic to have the best women's and men's team in the country!!

Give the women's game a few years to catch up and the standard will be as good across the board. Had 50 years ripped off us, but it's coming on quick now and as more and more countries turn professional, the standard will fly.

Don't think it's sexist to say the referees aren't very good. But it's down to training and quality of standards which unfortunately, is not standardized across women's football at the moment.
