Yup. 1 point, same GD. Arguably we should have lost that game last season but should have won an awful lot more of those draws so I'm sure we will make it up. Fucking hard start man. Need a break!
-
I reckon Targett will want to cement his place. This is his first chance since Burn took his place to really claim it back. Show us what ya got Matty!!

Ahhhhh 1 hour to go!!!!!!

Great news... Not too many changes. Burn v Brighton.

Any early team news... :P

Classy IMO. I like him a lot.
-
Disgusting. Honestly hope he has a career ending injury.
-
Don't we need Dummett for the home grown quota of CL?
-
If this happens it means that Salah is worth two thirds of what Newcastle was 18 months ago. Fucking mental!
-
We really miss Willock in these situations. Totally underrated how much he helps us create.
-
Not sure he's eligible anymore mate... When they get picked to start the qualifiers for the tournaments I think they have to be 21 and under but he's 22 so it's just the big boys for him now.

I really feel that this is a greater achievement than most give him credit for. And he did it on a shoe string budget. Honestly, this guy does not get the respect he deserves from other managers or fans. They literally just remember him for relegating Bournemouth, it's so narrow minded. He's also going toe to toe with some of the biggest clubs our their with half the financial layout and time they've had. I agree, he's outstanding.

Champions League 2023/2024: Group F (Newcastle, Milan, Dortmund, PSG)

Great post and totally correct. We've been dossing around with the small time teams for far too long and have grown used to losing. We, as fans, don't have the mental strength you need to be a true winner yet. But it will come! We've all got to learn and grow as a club! Rome wasn't built in a day! -

Great experience for Miley and co though!! -
I know what you mean but tbh, it gives me great satisfaction that their rebuild and success will be sanctioned by the same money that is building us and they will have literally nothing to say about it. I'm so sick of their entitled fans thinking we don't give a fuck about how Saudi Arabia has a disgusting regime. They think we should be completely boycotting our club. I'd like them to torch their own cars and not drive ever until oil is ethically sourced and not bought from SA, but they won't because they're hypocrites.

Big display needed for Brentford home game after the break, boys need to know we behind them 100% after all this twitter and 10 men shit! I'm dropping some dollar again when I get paid! -
Do you think Pep will leave soon though? I thought before the PL he only stayed at each club about 4 years (haven't looked this up by the way) but with Man City, he's got a club where he can basically buy who he wants, change tactics and mould of team, try new things - all whilst being in a league where it's not "completely" guaranteed that you'll win it each time, it's pretty competitive with some great managers. Unless he retired, where else would he go for that much stimulation? I can't believe he wants a quiet life yet. With Newcastle coming up and us determined eventually to be number 1, we could have quite a nice fight on that would be very interesting to witness. The only other thing I could see him doing would be returning to Barcelona to restore their former glory. But who knows I guess, just speculating.
-
They probably didn't want to have us either, esp at our place. Eddie Masterclass coming up. Rip them a new one. Failing that, at least we are out of one competition to win the CL
-
Honestly love the bloke so much. If I got slammed everytime something didn't go right for me at work, I'd be a nervous wreck. I dunno how he does it. The scousers think it's him and Dyche who will be gone by Christmas. Fuck off ya cunts and concentrate on your own manager. I'll be heartbroken if Eddie leaves or is kicked out and I think 99.9% of fans feel the same. It's a shame that the twitter or X patrol whatever the hell it is now, is giving other fans fuel for the fire when it's just not true. The man is a gift.

I don't think he's not a good player, he's very very good. Whether it's shot accuracy or his confidence I don't know, but he blows hot and cold for goals. His impact on Sunday was probably his best moment in a Liverpool shirt to date. Maybe he's just unlucky like us and like us, he should have more goals relative to his goal expected rating etc etc.
-
In hindsight, you wish that VVD had stayed on the pitch and let Isak shoot and maybe score. Weirdly, VVD won them the game!
-
True. But I keep seeing this being said and you think "this is when he will go on a run" and then it never materialises. Perhaps the fact he's full of confidence all the time actually goes against him!
-
You've got Liverpool next right? I hope you twat them. And Luiz scores against them. Twice.
