    Jeff Hendrick

Got the guy on loan without any clue of how to use him - sums us up nicely
  2. Imagine letting all those league goals just walk out the door and trying to replace them with a £40m Brazilian - it’s hard to comprehend this nonsense
  3. That’s the issue we are led to believe why this all stalled. The Premier League are trying to link PIF with those governmental officials that supported the piracy (state sponsored acts) off their product and PIF argue they are a separate entity
  4. It will be good see them because I was fuming earlier on when Redknapp said that the Newcastle fans were blinded by Rafa and the football we played during his tenure. Granted there were times when a load of rubbish was served up, but I remember those last six months being a marked sign of progression
  5. Better he regrets the decision to pick us over Villa big time
  6. He has his excuse now which is the most annoying thing. Ashley really needs to start thinking about his investment because we are heading down

    Joelinton

I would actually agree with his selection tonight because Sheffield United are a big side and we need his height for set pieces. Say what you want about his general play and ability, but he adds something to the team aerially when we defend even if it is just a taller body
  8. Good comment. I didn’t want him anywhere the side, but yesterday he showed that if fully fit he can be a handful for the opposition still and that’s a bonus
  9. He got 9 goals for Sheffield Wednesday last season which is a decent return. I’m just saying that he should be given a chance and a run in the team right now when we clearly lack anybody with some form of ability on the ball
  10. I’m confused by what people are watching with each brother. They are both nowhere near the top level, but the criticism of Sean on here is a bit of a joke really. Sean is far more athletic than Matty and actually does have a bit of recovery pace to get back into position after this stupid tactic of pressing blindly without any actual team plan to close the space between the lines. There are things in Sean’s game that can obviously improve upon and a good coach would help with that. I’m pretty certain that he actually covers the most ground in the entire 11 every time he plays. I don’t understand why Matty is rated ahead of him, the only thing he offers is that he is more assured on the ball in tight situations, but that can be coached. Matty runs in slow motion, is typically out of position and offers nothing approve going forward - I accept that is a result of poor management and his role is not to support attacks. The issues for brothers is again a lack of understanding of the strengths of the team overall by the coaching staff and the players you have to pick to make whatever plan (or no plan....) you have work.
  11. Maddison cost double Murphy and was never going to end up with us. Murphy needs to play in his team because he has mobility. At least tries to be positive, which you can’t say about many in the team. He will try to do something other than pass the ball backwards, often making good runs in behind that his teammates never see....
  12. What’s the actual proof they have of anti-competition? Is it just the letter from the head of BeIN to other premier league clubs?
  13. Same. He carries home self very well and can spot a good talent

    Jamal Lewis

He should have held out for that move because he has regressed here from the non existent coaching
  15. Howe is a good shout and we have players he knows how to use as well. That sort of appointment would show a semblance of ambition so it wouldn’t happen.
  16. Man City / Liverpool away is the type of game I’d happily bet my mortgage on and never once be worried about losing
  17. Who is available that could replace him? Ashley won’t show any ambition (as usual) when the takeover is still in the background. I will still never understand why Ashley didn’t keep Rafa and give him everything he wanted as a pretence when he knew there was a chance of sale within 12 months. It’s just simple business sense if anything
  18. I have reached a new low level after that showing. My 25 years of supporting the team has obviously had some highs and ridiculously low lows, but tonight was the lowest I’m feeling against everything. We are just a pathetic excuse for a team, no fight, leadership, ideas or invention, tactical organisation - the list could go on forever. We have a manager that has no ideas about the game in 2020 whatsoever. He sent that team out knowing we would lose with the amount of hype he gave Brentford and the clear lack of thought about how to beat the opposition. Brentford were there to be beaten by a decent side and we have a dinosaur that doesn’t understand the simple things, has no comprehension about the modern game - I mean he takes off any pace, movement and creativity to play four stickers for the final 20 minutes with no idea to use them! I’m feel like Almiron with his head in his hands - I’m just so sad
  19. The game against Fulham is vital for us. We need to win because anything else is a disaster as the next month is tricky. We could be out of the cup while losing five in a row within less than three weeks... I hate Bruce as our manager, but I don’t want to see us relegated as that will all but eliminate the chances of a takeover
  20. Murphy doing more in two minutes than more than half of this lot
