  1. And then he just falls over his own feet
  2. He’s finding space well, but he just doesn’t seem to know how to shoot
  3. Woltemade is great at finding space, but we have no idea of how to pass to him or have the quality to do it
  4. We always run out of ideas for the final action - fix that and we’re onto something here
  5. Tottenham will be safe before the last game. They’ll win tomorrow and get at least a point from Chelsea. They can actually do us some big favours if we win our games
  6. Id take that as a top half finish to end the season on a high - but I can’t see us winning 3 games in a row from now on
  7. I’d take Barcola as his replacement
  8. The transfer fee would have been close to half I’d think as he would’ve still kicked up a fuss to leave. I maintain we sold him for an unbelievable / incredible fee given how much his body was holding up, it was just he plan to replace him failed.
  9. I wonder what would happen if Bournemouth finish 6th and Villa won’t the Europa League and finish 5th. I bet Iraola decides to stay on as manager as they’ll be in the Champions League
  10. Agreed. Plus he’s got pedigree of offloading players for big money. I mean they made £75m from us by selling Elanga and the goalkeeper
  11. This graphic has just really pissed me off - can’t believe we’re this close to it
  12. I’d be tempted to say pick on someone your own size Tolu, but there’s not many about

    Yoane Wissa

I’ve always thought that Calvert Lewin had all the physical qualities we wanted in a striker that plays in our system. I was shocked that we didn’t sign him for free and then decide what we did next once Isak kicked off

    Jacob Murphy

He’s another player that should be sold this summer and replaced with a new starter. Elanga can continue to do the backup role as he won’t be sold without a massive loss
  15. It’s crazy to think that we’ve been so bad over the last 10 games and yet only 6 points from 6th. It makes the constant throwing away games in the final moments even more disappointing
  16. Wasn’t there an article that said this won’t happen and the place goes to a team in Europe that has the highest coefficient and not in the Champions League
  17. I think he’s our best wide player by a distance, just his inconsistency costs him. But that’s also down to the way the team plays to some extent. I’m fairly certain he leaves this summer as it would be a good to get the best fee for him. My worry with all these supposed sales is that we end of wasting the £200m that we will get from a Gordon, Tino and Tonali sale. You can’t make £350m in player sales in 18 months and not kick on
  18. I’ve seen a few Liverpool games with him playing and he seems to be playing within himself as if he doesn’t trust his body anymore. I think he’s got some long term injury issues that are on the back of his mind and worried he’ll break down. I felt this way a lot times when watching him for us towards the end. If we hadn’t wasted the money from the sale, it was a fantastic piece of business looking back on it
  19. I just can’t see a scenario where we sack Eddie and then replace him with Iriola - it just won’t happen. The board won’t see him as a next level replacement so will prefer to stick with Eddie. Now if Eddie decides to resign, then I could see this happening. I think Iriola ends up at Man Utd
  20. I think we’d sell him for around £60m with some add ons if it’s abroad

As much as I love Joelinton, this summer might be the time to move him on. I guess we can’t be losing both him and Tonali, but we need a different profile in our midfield to move the playing style forward
  22. For me it’s more about getting some fresh ideas and a style of play that can help us sustainably compete at the top of the table. I love Eddie and in an ideal world, we go on a run and win the next 5 games - and then he stays on. But I just can’t see what we’re trying to do and what style we’re trying to get to right now. This has been the killer for the season to me. We’ve looked fantastic in some games this season when it felt like the team of old, but most games have been horrendous. We’ve lost our all action in your face approach and replaced it with a ponderous and error riddled structure. Maybe a new manager changes this, makes us harder to beat and develops a way of playing that helps us win more games consistently - the way Emery is doing it at Villa
  23. We’ve got big problems everywhere, but you cannot keep giving away goals in the way we do. Our players make some of the stupidest decisions you’ll see at the top level and it constantly costs us - that must be infuriating for Eddie
  24. I can see Mateta coming on here and rough up Botman big time
  25. Same here. But he carries the ball so well and then finds himself in a position that he doesn’t know what to do with
