Yeah fair enough, that was a pure red mist post. I've been checking the scores as and when today, saw they were 3-1 down and thought 'job done' then to see that they clawed it back to 3-3 made me incandescent with rage. I'm so fucking scunnered with how we've done this season and to see our rivals who were in the doldrums a few years ago outperform us in seemingly every metric this season rubs salt in the wounds. If the club's leadership have been paying attention this season and they're still content to give Eddie the warchest to rebuild the squad this summer then they can do us all a favour and drop the act that we're trying to be a serious football club. The recruitment since 2023 has been woeful and the damage that the summer 25 window caused could set us back years if we don't get the next one absolutely pitch perfect. The squad needs ripping up and starting again, frankly there's far too much to do in just 1 window The usual caveat of I love Eddie, he's a legend, best manager of my lifetime etc etc applies here

Tino has another thing coming if he thinks he's going to be a starter for City. The best ability is availability and when he's been fit this season he's been far from impressive.

That'll be that then. Such a shame when you see that the European places were there for the taking. It might be a blessing in disguise cause this squad of players clearly can't handle European fixtures while maintaining league form. But if we're going to be a perennial CL team by 2030 (no sniggering at the back!) then we need to break the cycle of: No Europe=Good league season, Europe=Bad league season. The true big clubs can juggle both competitions, our leadership talk a good game but in practice we're a footballing paper tiger. While I'm on the topic, the clubs hierarchy need to knock all this "best club in the world by ...." talk right on the fucking head. It's embarrassing.
