  1. Totally forgot that Spurs signed Kolo Muani, I'm sure we have a thread about him somewhere
  2. This is such a poor quality game but by God Spurs are several shades of pish, once again they're very lucky that there's enough dross in the league to keep them afloat
  3. Frank is such a noncey looking wrong'un, you'd never let that ghoul look after your pet cat when you're on holiday.
  4. Oh fuck, we're in the lead again, how are we gonna bollocks this up? Thankfully Spurs are absolutely pathetic so we might get away with it
  5. https://x.com/i/status/2021187602687180925 Whatever you think of Simon Jordan, it's immensely satisfying to watch him dismantle that narcissistic, entitled shitehawk. (Sorry, I have no idea how to embed a tweet)
  6. It's a sorry sight to see such an iconic hero being reduced to this, it can't go on this way! Similar to watching Cal last season, it'spainfully obvious he's just not a PL player for the level we aspire to anymore. At the moment he's a man down at best and a liability at worst.

We all knew that 55m was way too much for a 29 year old with only one very good season as a striker and not much else to write home about, but given the pickle we got ourselves into by the end of the window it was very much a case of "That's way too steep for him but fuck it, needs must! At least he'll hit the ground running" I know he got injured straight away but his lack of effort has nothing to do with with a stop-start pre season or an injury, he looks like a guy who's chucked it. A real throwback to the sort of shite who kitted up for us in the 'wonga era'
  8. Yeah fair enough, but it can also be interpreted as the beginning of a downward spiral. Many of the players who have been central to success of the Howe era look jaded or past their best, the new players who were brought in haven't lived up to expectations and we can expect to lose at least one key player this summer (likely Tonali and/or Tino). Football works in cycles and this squad has run it's course. People who are much better informed and smarter than me will decide whether Eddie is the right man to oversee the rebuild, but one thing is for sure we absolutely can not afford to squander another summer window. In my opinion, he deserves to see out this season at the very least
  9. Even the most deluded of happy clappers will start to realise that this isn't a blip. This season has been utterly devoid of life aside from slapping around a few 2nd rate European teams. The league was tight a few weeks ago and the door to Europe was being held ajar for us but now we're being left in the dust. We'll do well to finish ahead of the mackems this year let alone Europe!
  10. This squad is a complete mess, too many players who were at the required standard previously but have past their sell by date and others who never have been good enough. This summer the squad needed a minor operation to keep the momentum going but now it needs fucking open heart surgery I seriously doubt Howe is the right man to oversee that
  11. He looks jaded, we need to sit him out for a wee while. Either that or he's chucked it but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt

    Premier. League. Proven. Quality..........
  13. I don't even know where to start with this. We're simply a very bad football team.
  14. A must win, not because of league implications but just to stop the rot, if we lose this it could turn very ugly very quickly given our run of fixtures. If we are going to be the club we all want us to be, dispatching teams like Brentford at home should be routine.
  15. Can we also take into consideration that some people (myself included) are exiled away from Newcastle and surrounding areas and we don't get an outlet to vent our frustrations about the team nor bask in its glory and this forum is the only means we get to shoot the shit about the team, good or bad. If I sound overly negative on a post it's probably cause I'm unleashing all my pent up frustrations by the only means I really have. Just because someone has a negative outlook on something doesn't mean they should be peer pressured into silence because those with a negative opinion are lambasted and told to shut up/support another team, that's how you end up with a hive minded echo chamber of happy clappers not a forum
  16. But nah seriously, these last few years supporting the club have been the best I've ever had and for that I'll always be grateful, the fact that we're now competing for honours and fighting for Europe is a far cry from circling the toilet bowl under wretched skidmarks like Bruce. My frustration and negativity comes from seeing us sliding backwards at an alarming rate because our squad management has been poor and we look devoid of ideas tactically. Everyone get their share of the blame for that from PIF and the board, to Eddie, the coaches and the medical staff and of course the players. Just like YAR, I want us to be the best we can be and it doesn't make me a bad fan for acknowledging that we are not maximising our potential and showing concern about our trajectory
