    NUFC Transfer Rumours

18:00 "Don't log off yet Newcastle fans!" 18:15 "We can confirm that Trevan Sanusi has joined Le Havre on a season long loan" 18:30 "Harrison Ashby has joined Preston North End for an undisclosed fee. Thank you and all the best Harrison"

A loan with option/obligation to buy for another CM would be ideal. Joelinton, Ramsey and Willock all have their issues with injuries, Miley is still very raw and we need to do our best to preserve Bruno & Tonali as much as possible.

    Yoane Wissa

We can discuss the pros and cons of the Wissa/Isak deal once the dust settles but right now I'm just so scunnered with the whole thing. Two petulant man babies have got what they wanted in the end. I'm as fickle as the next guy, I'm sure I'll grow to love Wissa in time when he starts banging them in and I appreciate that his circumstances for going on strike were a lot more understandable than Isaks.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

It's deadline day, so let's wheel out the classic 'Dutch wonderkid Zoltaan Finegaar spotted at the chippy' and 'Turkish striker Yerda Selzavon spotted handing out magazines in the street'
  5. I would be more than happy to move him on, I can't see it working out for him here, but wtf are Villa playing at?! Very strange! There must be more to this than meets the eye.
  6. I know there's a lot of anger towards PIF for caving in at 130m and appearing weak. I'm not going to argue against any fans who feel that way or stick up for the ownership, but I will say that I think a lot of people are underestimating just how much influenced Eddie and the squad have had. It seems they shut down any notion of reintegration which is their absolute right and the idea of PIF having a 9 figure asset rotting in the reserves is fanciful at best, as satisfying as the idea of it is.

I think I'd rather watch my own conception from a cuck chair than watch that.
  8. What a rancid, brain dead creature. Imagine being nearly 40, rich beyond your wildest dreams, playing in a retirement league in front of a family friendly, foam finger waving crowd and a little old man winds you up so much that your child like mind thinks the best course of action is to spit in his face. A complete sewer rat.

Forest have shown that if you sign a load of players who look good on paper, by the law of averages, you'll end up with a fair amount of players who are also good on the grass! You've given yourselves as good of a chance as any promoted side I've seen since Forest, the league seems to be a lot more open this year, I think you'll be just fine, let's see how it pans out.

For 40m, yes. Not over 50m like Brentford want

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Wissa - No thanks, ridiculously over priced, written off during the AFCON, behaved like a diet Isak and is so old that he'll be eligible for a bus pass by the time we sign him. JSL - Will cost waaaaaay beyond what he's worth. Jackson - Could work very well in Eddie's system and is the only PL proven striker we've been linked with who is activley being shopped by his club. The figures being quoted for him are still way too high and it sounds like our interest in him has cooled. Another one we can write off for the AFCON too. Kolo Muani - I'd be happy with him if we brought him in a few weeks ago, I'm not sure if Eddie will be happy to roll with 2 strikers unproven in the PL though. Watkins - In a pre-PSR world, he'd be a perfect Wilson replacement, but now we need to box clever, too many downsides. So in summary: Fuck knows. I'd take a chance on Kolo Muani of all the players linked so far followed by Jackson. I hope we pull another rabbit out of the hat a la Woltemade.
  12. I understand the sentiment that we look weak by caving in, but the fact of the matter is that we look weak because Isak and Liverpool conspired to weaken us. They played this near to perfection. You can't legislate for a player throwing his toys out the pram on an unprecedented scale like this guy has done. Twinned with that, Eddie and the squad would've demanded to get this maggot out. If Eddie thinks that's what's best for the club then I'll take his word on that. What you CAN blame the ownership for is leaving us to be a rudderless ship throughout the window. This window was lurching on disaster in July and much of August, I think it's been pulled from the fire but it's badly exposed the lack of leadership and people are now starting to be more critical of the owners on other areas, stadium, training ground etc. Thank God for Eddie, he is the glue that holds this club together

    sunderland

No capital 'S' for sunderland. Nice to see Matt Law reads N-O. Mag Law amarite!
  14. If he flops at Liverpool he'll no doubt finally get his move to al-Hilal for 150m
  15. I'm choosing to believe that Isak is going because Eddie and by extension the squad demanded it. Even if we take a haircut and look like fools in the media, you can't put a price on squad harmony and morale, we can't have this place turning toxic.
  16. Not to derail the thread or anything but if Tonali pulls something like this* after the club and fans stood by him during his ban, I'm quitting football and supporting my local tiddlywinks team. * he won't
  17. There's a lot of noise out there either from clowns like Edwards covering all bases or the usual shills who are being paid to brief on behalf of Isak's camp and Liverpool in one last throw of the dice and/or one last chance to milk the cash cow, if we just take all that to one side and consider what the club state are acceptable conditions for a sale: Wilson replacement ❌️ Isak replacement ✔️ Acceptable offer ❌️ All 3 have to be satisfied for any sale to take place, what constitutes an acceptable offer is where my worry is. Selling for 130m as has been touted is very concerning, I don't see why the onus is on us to rush around and overpay for a Wilson replacement just so Liverpool can get their snake at a cut price
  18. The mood music has changed. 'Fucked with a Knife' by Cannibal Corpse is now playing on full blast.
  19. This is where I've been at the whole saga tbh. Any chance of reintegration died with the Liverpool loss
  20. Yep, no way we should be hastened and strong armed into paying over the odds for JSL so Liverpool can have Mr. Complainy Pants for under the odds
  21. I thought there'd be much more of a frenzy from the usual suspects now. They're notable by their absence, it's very disconcerting.
  22. If today's Old Firm is anything to go by, this year is the year for Hearts to go all in, they'll never get a better chance at splitting the two.
  23. This. IF he ends up staying which seems increasinllgly likely. The fans have every right to vent their anger at him for instigating all this nonsense and he can't claim that he doesn't deserve it, I imagine the fans unloading on him will be alot easier for him to deal with than the when the players and staff give him a piece of their mind. Once it's out of our system, we'll move on, not necessarily forgive and forget, but we'll tolerate him for as long as we need to.
