  1. This is always the problem with the first big players through the door.. they either have to be patient for others to follow or become part of the solution to allow us to progress in FFP. I'm hoping he can hold out but maybe the taste of champions league makes him even more frustrated
  2. Has anyone else googled who Peter Drury supports... West Ham and Watford my arse
  3. I'm just confused with everything.. I miss old school football
  4. It almost like we made no champions league money, increased merchandise sales or a new strip and multiple sponsorship deals in the pipeline ... Yep we need to sell now!
  5. There was a moment he froze on the ball yesterday.. you could see him thinking what to do and by then two players had closed him down.
  6. I also think Burn has got it into his head that he needs to attack and overlap to mirror what Tino can do. I would much prefer he just stayed steady and focused on his own strengths as the above results in him being no good at either.
  7. Massive game, players need a pick me up, fans need a lift. Hopefully we both feed of each other and get the win and a positive performance. Come on!! 2.0
  8. All I can think of is players younger then him are physically on their last legs. This impacts both you mentally and physically. Then add the fact you are 33 and don't have the same ability to recharge your batteries between games... your body then starts to do things your brain isn't expecting. The horrible thing for Tripps is that this has happened in a one month period. I always remember Keegan deciding after a cup game against Liverpool that he wanted to go out on a high and not play through any personal decline.
  9. Just let me believe that's the reason he is still with us... The more the media big him up the cheaper that sell on fee sounds! Let's just keep the one footed, slow paced, dodgy tackling mad man here...
  10. A yard of pace away from the top, top clubs. Which I don't really mind as it means it might put them off paying big money for him!
  11. Not sure Ashworth would fit Man U's philosophy. They are not going to do a Brighton and bring in raw gems to develop and sell etc. They are shopping at the other end of the market and buying high end names. I mean it's failed so far but Radcliffe is not going to come in and buy cheap either
  12. For a bit of balance to the argument... If you were Wilson / isak do you think you would be happy with Miggy on the wing? Would you even bother busting a gut to get in front of your man when you know he will never cross the ball? I was actually keen to see how him and Gordan would get on when they switched wings but it only lasted minutes
  13. Sometimes it's just fate how you break through. Burn gets injured, it would have been Targett stepping in. Targett got injured, Hall could have stepped in. But then Tino had a run of man of the match performances and now the door is blocked. We could have rested either fullback to give him game time but to be honest there was no easy game to select. If he had played in front of Tino or Tripps and we lost the board would have been up in uproar.
  14. Wow just seen that PSG didn't win? I'm sure the scoreboard flashed up 2.1 and never mentioned it was disallowed? The crowd around me were all deflated after that but surely the players must have known it 1.1 and all still to play for?
  15. Say we win tomorrow or qualifying for the europa I wonder if it's worth bringing any of the younger loan lads back in January. Would any qualify as young players and free spots in the euro squad?
  16. Not sure it was Neville who said it on Sunday but I also think the problem was not being able to keep the ball for any length of time. I hate 433 when we are under the cosh as it never seems to revert to 451 and block those gaps and keep some retention
  17. I would keep him back until the Christmas period/early new year games. We need him more for those games
  18. I would say pound for pound Schar edges it. Just for his longevity and comeback story post Bruce.
  19. If it was the end of last season, I would say I would be concerned as his head wasn't in the right place. However this year he has everything he wanted.. we might even lose but he knows he is at the right club.
  20. 7 goals in 35 for Newcastle 7 goals in 78 for Everton Would be nice to get the 8th against them on Thursday!
  21. Philips and to some extent Grealish fall within the same man city bracket as Fabian Delph, Carson etc. They are there to make up the English quota in the squad, just happens City can afford to spend bucket loads on quality players and then never give them the game time they would get anywhere else in the league.
