I'm sure the Amazon documentary showed a part where the budget guy stated new entrants into the champions league see a dip in league performance the following year. I'm sure they would have hoped for Europe but catered for the worst

Semi Finals: France 1-2 Spain, England 2-1 Netherlands

Maradona's handball was obvious Sol Campbell's goal against Argentina could have been given. Lampards ball over the line in south Africa (I will ignore the world cup one in 66) Basically you get the luck of the green on any given decision.. this time it benefitted us, the next one might not. Crack on -

Southgate has found his own way. Not mine or anyone else's but I just think we showed the first half what we could do when the players believe in themselves. There is no coincidence that they have the ability to pull a result out of the bag when they need to .. as they are all quality players. It's a bit like celebrating Adele winning a Karaoke competition in the local pub when we all know she has the ability to fill Wembley stadium. I just hope we somehow win on Sunday and then mould these individuals into a team that dominates -
Before the internet the was the daily routine... Chronicle would print a story with Newcastle to buy/sell star player. Then the next morning the Journal would deny it and say it was lies. Wasn't until I was older that I realised they were the same news reporters in the same office. 30 years later they call it click bait but these guys make a living of making crap up. Must be even harder when they get called out on it online now and still have to say it's from a source, whenever everyone knows it's 99 percent spin

What is the split between club and artist? Does the majority not go their way.. otherwise the likes of Sunderland would be in a stronger position as they do seem to get the big artists there every year -

I would actually like Southgate to come out and be honest about the players he doesn't rate.. why he picked them in the squad etc -

Remind me what chances or crosses he has had to work of? And which of the sideways passes at the back he is meant to make his move on? Honestly Southgate knows Kanes strengths and he does not play to them -

Italy went out on a whimper yesterday.. Let's go attack and if we lose so be it. But don't fall in your sword because of your personal pride and belief that everyone else is wrong -
Group C: 1. England, 2. Denmark, 3. Slovenia (Q), 4. Serbia

Awe man I'm torn as it's a lose lose situation. We lose today and we are out. We scrape a win and he plays this team next round. Only thing to save me is a 3.0 front foot win which he can then stick two fingers up to me and everyone else. Not that we could see him stick his fingers up as he would probably be wearing mittens or a big oven glove for protection -
Training keepers are the new thing... Old pros who are just there for that reason and maybe there to take the strain of Pope and the damage to his shoulder

So are we all in a better place this morning... We have made 70 million, kept our key players and the sky has not fallen... Yet

Elliot Anderson (now playing for Nottingham Forest)

Honestly this place does my head in. The club spent big the first year to make sure we didn't get relegated. The next season they bought botman, Isak, Gordon... Quality over quantity. FFP, no related party investments, questions on players linked in and out of Saudi have all happened since the first season and nobody here or at other clubs thought it would impact everyone the way it did. It's not shit management when the rules are being written as they go.. or when the previous owner has cleared out all the family jewellery and left you with no one to bloody sell. Minteh is our second highest sale behind Andy Carroll... We have to get used to the rules they have set us and make sure we have assets to sell to allow us to move forward -
We only had one for 12 months... How did we do deals before then?
-
Well at least Gordon will have two hours spare tomorrow night to sort the deal out... Not like he will have anything else to do .

But nothing has actually happened yet apart from gossip and rumours? -
A full squad neither player starts or possibly gets on the bench. Not saying Anderson would not get opportunity due to other player injuries etc but he will always be behind other options we have.
-
If we starting to believe Craig Hope then we are really in trouble... He got lucky when he had a player leaking him inside information about Bruce but the story does not even make sense with regards to PSR. He was a 40 million purchase so would need to be 70 /80 plus to get us as much profit as Mintah.

What if we have been prudent and are just on the right side of the line? We might even have 20 million to spend and just want to hold our money back until July when we can add that to next year's funds. Nobody on here or in the press knows the exact account details but if it was a situation where we would lose points, we would be doing a lot more to shift players on. And if it was the case we really needed to sell a Bruno, Isak or Gordon we would not be leaving it until the last couple of days and would be actively looking to generate a bidding war -

Another two windows of no real transfer activity across the majority of clubs and I think there will be greater pressure for change. The whole premise of the Premier League being the greatest in the world is that every team can beat any other team on the day because we had the strong hold of all the top end players in the world. If this changes then the likes of sky and other sponsorship companies may begin to ask why do they need to break the record Everytime they bid for the tv rights etc. -
Do we not double / triple the incoming figure because of outgoing instalments? Or was that just wishful thinking in the last window?
