Has a club ever lost out on as many players in such a short space of time as we have in the last month or so , Delap, Pedro,Mbuemo,Ekitike and now Trafford .
-
This window has only highlighted even further how well Eddie has done . We actually have a bit of money to spend for the first time in about two years and almost every player we try to sign goes somewhere else for more money that we aren't allowed to pay. Qualifying for the champions league twice and winning a cup with everything that is in place to prevent us from doing such things shows how much of an elite manager he is .

Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)

We should just be petty as fuck and bid his full release clause knowing fine well he won't come here now but just so Liverpool have to bid the same . -
I think it was Cabaye.

I would be stunned and also disappointed in the club if we sell Isak this summer mind . We hold all the power with 3 years left on his contract. Even if he kicks up a fuss which I don't think he will we still should be saying no and making him give us another season. Not a lot we can do next summer with only two years left but it sends out the totally wrong message about our ambitions etc if we sell him this window.

Could easily play a fluid front 3 of Isak, Ekitike and Elanga/Gordon. -
Yeah I never understand people who criticise Eddie for not playing Osula. I think it's pretty obvious that currently he is nowhere near good enough at this level to be trusted . Not saying that won't change in the future but a broken Wilson was still clearly a better option than Osula last season .

If we are selling Longstaff and replacing him with Gallagher it's literally a no brainer .
-
ECAL has updated with the new kick off times on my calendar.
-
He's about as good as we are going to get really as a backup striker happy to play second fiddle to Isak and with PSR restrictions.
-
He will be a first team regular at a mid table/ lower half club no doubt, he would be a good squad player for a team that wants to compete in the top 6.
-
The same reason we were never getting Mbeumo, Pedro and Huijsen. They will get offered more money somewhere else .
-
He is nowhere near as good as some people on this thread seem to think , decent player but would never be good enough to play regularly for a team with our ambitions .
-
We aren't getting Scalvini lads ffs, close the thread .
-
Yep agree ,our three best players Bruno ,Isak and Tonali pretty much happened out of nowhere . No agent agenda or anything .
-
Hope I am wrong but this is another Mbeumo/Pedro scenario where it's obvious from the start we will get trumped by a club that can pay higher wages than we can.
-
At the point now where you literally can't doubt any player that Eddie signs for us , we will obviously sign a big money dud eventually but he is clearly desperate for Elanga so you have to trust that .
-
Sunderland are buying players nobody has ever heard of and that have never played in this league before for 30+ million. 60 million for Elanga isn't so bad at all compared to that .
-
You are best off going direct through adidas now for the tops ,free next day delivery.
-
I would rather have Eliott than Elanga to be fair , Liverpool fans rate him but he wants regular football which they can't give him .
-
I do think them being so far behind Leeds and Burnley is a bit of a red herring mind , they literally threw the last 6 games of the season once they had the playoffs secured, I don't think they will be anywhere near as bad as any of the promoted clubs last season either . That being said they will almost certainly finish in the bottom 6 but could still scrape enough points to stay up.
