It does seem like Villa are miles ahead of us now , yet it was only 18 months ago we finished ahead of them in 4th. They have recruited and sold way better than we have since then and Unai is clearly an elite manager. I would rather they got top 4 than the likes of Spurs , Man United and Chelsea .

Big coup for England I think, especially as top class managers don't tend to bother with international football these days, he's certainly the biggest name England have had since Capello was appointed 15 years ago.

He has always been a stop start type of player for us the entire time he's been here , he looks class for a few games then has a few quiet ones. Not necessarily a criticism of him but that's his level and I do think he's massively overrated by some of our fans . I think Joelinton is a much better player for us than Willock .

A lot of fuss being made over that Fernandes red considering it literally had no impact on the game at all, if anything Spurs actually played worse against ten men than when they were ripping Man United to shreds before the sending off .

The format of the champions league means Villa will obviously get further than we did last season as among a few tough games they have some freebie points. I still have them in the same group as us, Spurs and Chelsea when it comes to the league though, The top 3 are way ahead then I expect to be competing for 4th-7th with them other three teams. We should have an advantage due to no Europe but we also have the smallest squad and our away form will be the difference between us challenging for 4th or being in a similar position we were last season.

It's the same with Liverpool , they say the atmosphere is shite yet all you ever hear about is the famous anfield atmosphere from neutrals . In fact I would wager every season ticket holder at every club in the league would say the atmosphere needs improving so it's not just us.

Never confident going here , they absolutely hate us as well so will be well up for it .
