Two poor teams , draw was fair but still feels like a defeat.

Yep we battered them for the first 30 minutes.

I am one of the biggest Eddie fans going but to me the only home league game this season where we have looked anywhere near our best was the Arsenal one , it's a far cry from the last few years where we were literally running all over teams and blowing them away.

It's a myth we played well against Brighton mind , we did for the first 30 minutes then soon as they scored we did nothing and had no idea how to break them down, same as the West Ham game the other night .

I think this could be a big problem , teams have feared coming here for the last two seasons and aside from a blip at home to Forest you only win here if you are a Man City, Liverpool or Arsenal. All of a sudden though we are now losing to the likes of Brighton and West Ham, teams won't be scared anymore. Even our home wins this season have been tight and by the odd goal , we have been hammering teams at home for the last two seasons and we aren't doing that anymore either .

Using last season as a stick to beat Eddie with is desperate stuff mind , we had an unprecedented injury crisis and on top of that ended up with some of the maddest cup draws I have ever seen a club get in the same season, then you have that last minute joke penalty in Paris and the Tripper head loss that cost us against Chelsea, literally everything that could go wrong literally went wrong. Saying that I do think we look a worse team than we did two years ago and that's not a good sign ,he will be lucky to survive if we don't get Europe this season and although I am still fully behind him I don't think he could complain if he got sacked should that happen .

Feel like Palace are definitely not as bad as the league table shows , fully expect them to stay up. Would have been happy enough with a point had we beaten West Ham but feel like we need to win this game now even more so with Liverpool up next.

Total reversal from last season where we scored and conceded loads , struggling to make sense of it all.

Footballers desperately wanting to play in the champions league is always overstated I think. At the end of the day they will go where the money is, for example if Chelsea offered Isak a load of money and they didn't have champions league football I don't think that would stop him signing for them. Unfortunately we are never going to be able to pay the wages the big 5 clubs can or even Spurs for that matter . Obviously if we get champions league it would mean we could offer him more money to stay but it still might not be enough.

Mad isn't it , people won't give Longstaff the lickings of a dog despite us being far better when he plays and thinking it's some sort of coincidence we win when he plays ahead of Tonali.

I really hope so as he's clearly an excellent footballer but aside from Villa at home last season nothing we have seen so far demonstrates we are a better team when him and Bruno start together .

Tonali is clearly a far better player than Longstaff but the results show we are a far better team and get more points when Longstaff plays, results have also shown that when Tonali, Bruno and Joelinton all start it doesn't work and we get less points, it might change at some point but its undisputable at the minute. I don't particularly rate Longstaff but its mad that people will still try and find ways to make out that its purely coincidental that we look a better team and get more points when he plays.

80 million would be daylight robbery for Isak mind and thankfully the club will know this . His contract length and how unique he is along with how rare a world class centre forward that can score 20+ premier league goals a season means anything less than 100 million and we shouldn't even be picking up the phone . That Højlund for example cost 64 million and if that's the going rate for an average young striker then Isak is worth at least 120 million.

We've been comfortably the best team.

Feels like it's been said a lot this season but this really does feel like such a huge game, coming off two brilliant home results can we back it up with an away performance that shows we can challenge for Europe again. A draw won't be a bad result but a win would really feel like we have turned a corner since that Brighton game .

The mackems 6/5 at home to Coventry this weekend who don't even have a manager , seems overpriced .
