Have they ever had an ex player or manager that they ended up hating that hasn’t returned to get one over them within a few years ?
  2. Don’t think Eddie has done much wrong really , a lot of these players just aren’t good enough to be playing every week in a team challenging for the top 4-6, I would say the one thing he deserves criticism for is persisting with Wilson when he’s been shite for months and we have a 60 million forward on the bench .
  3. Maxi and Isak on for Wilson and Miggy is the way to go.
  4. Seem to remember one criticism Bournemouth fans had of Howe was that he was sometimes too loyal to players even when they were out of form and not playing well, seems the same is happening now with Wilson.
  5. I guess someone, either us or the PL will have to make some sort of statement, the other clubs wont exactly let it die down will they, I don't think anything will come of it but someone will have to say something about it.
  6. Brighton seem to be overrated on here, was only a few weeks ago they lost to Fulham at home and needed a last minute goal to beat Bournemouth at home, they will get distracted by the FA cup now as well, they are a good team but nothing for us to worry about. Liverpool have always been the main danger and however poor Spurs are they have Kane so will be top 6 because of that. As things stand unless we totally collapse Liverpool will be the only team below us now that will finish above us so that means we will be 6th at worst.
  7. Sounds like other clubs in the league are now complaining about it
  8. Amnesty International have asked the Premier League to re-examine assurances made by Newcastle United’s ownership that the Saudi Arabian state will not be in control of the club. The request follows the publication of court documents in the United States this week, which suggests a closer relationship between the Saudi state and the Public Investment Fund (PIF), who own 80 per cent of Newcastle, than had previously been stated. The Premier League approved the takeover in October 2021 only after receiving “legally-binding assurances” that PIF was a separate entity to the state. They claimed the deal had been delayed by 18 months due to the separation issue. However, that level of separation has been questioned due to a brief filed in a court case between the PGA Tour and PIF-owned LIV Golf. In that, PIF describe themselves as “a sovereign instrumentality of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia” and Al Rumayyan as “a sitting minister of the Saudi government”. “It was always stretching credulity to breaking point to imagine that the Saudi state wasn’t directing the buyout of Newcastle with the ultimate aim of using the club as a component in its wider sportswashing efforts,” Peter Frankental, Amnesty UK’s economic affairs director, said. “There’s an unmistakable irony in the sovereign wealth fund declaration emerging in a dispute about another arm of Saudi Arabia’s growing sports empire, but the simple fact is that Saudi sportswashing is affecting numerous sports and governing bodies need to respond to it far more effectively. “The Premier League will surely need to re-examine the assurances made about the non-involvement of the Saudi authorities in the Newcastle deal, not least as there’s still a Qatari bid for Manchester United currently on the table.” Premier League chief executive Richard Masters told the BBC after the takeover that if evidence of state involvement was discovered, “we can remove the consortium as owners of the club”. The Premier League declined to comment.
  9. I don't even think Man United need state ownership, so these new owners coming in and spending a fortune on players will be no different to what the current owners have done, Man United haven't been miles off winning the league due to lack of spending, its due to the poor recruitment and the players the managers have bought. That isn't down to the Glazers. New owners aren't going to suddenly make them any better on the pitch as its not the lack of speniding thats the issue anyway.
  10. Kind of agree with this, he achieved more last season keeping us up then Rafa did the whole time he was here, yet for some reason he doesn't seem to be held in the same regard as him by some of our fans. For me Eddie is easily the best manager we have had since Robson and has done more for the club than any manager we have had since then. Imagine what he can do when he has a proper squad.
  11. They don't even need to sing about Shearer either, they won everything going without him and didn't even need him, they are just that arrogant and full of entitlement they genuinely can't believe a player would turn them down and it clearly still rattles them to this very day,
  12. I would go for a interchangeable front 3 of Isak, Maxi and Gordon, we need to try something different and this game is just a free hit with no pressure so worth seeing how they work together. I think them as front 3 will cause problems for anyone.
  13. They really are a vile awful arrogant self entitled fanbase full of glory hunters that don’t have the first clue about football , we were right next to them and they spent more time trying to goad us than they did watching the match . They are the most horrible club and fanbase in the entire country , I have more respect for the mackems than I do Man United .
  14. I have kind of accepted the atmosphere at home matches being poor mainly as I don’t think any team In the country has a bouncing home ground the majority of the time , however Sunday was a disgrace , with people telling others to sit down and not singing in a cup final. I get the result didn’t help but even before that it just felt flat . Was more atmosphere on the train at 10am on Saturday morning than in block 527 where I was sat. The pubs on Saturday night were bouncing as was Trafalgar and again the atmosphere before the match on Sunday was brilliant . Yet as soon as you get to the ground the majority around me just sat in silence and told others trying to get an atmosphere going to sit down .
  15. Probably the best game to get out the way straight after the cup final , no pressure everyone expecting us to get beat , better than playing a game where we are expected to win and dropping more points in. Get this one out the way then beat Wolves next week and be back on track.
  16. I think we will finish 6th which is an excellent season, we were always over achieving to be 3rd or 4th anyway with the squad we have and now our results are levelling out ,few upgrades in the summer and we will challenge top 4 again next season but with a proper squad this time .
  17. I would have Joelinton in that core list as well .
  18. Put everything into getting to that World Cup squad , now appears he’s not the same player anymore .
  19. If we don’t finish top 4 by end of next season he will be gone sadly . He’s just too good to mess about in a team not in the champions league .
  20. It’s awful , everywhere I look online seeing stuff from daft non attending Man United wankers who have never been to Manchester in their life , same from Boro fans who again are trying to make up some sort of rivalry , at least Sunderland fans taking the piss you just think fair enough.
  21. Best player when he came on, needs to be given a run in the team now ahead of Wilson.
  22. Was in block 537 and the atmosphere was dire , people trying to stand up and sing getting told to sit down by other fans, pathetic really it’s a cup final ffs.
  23. Not paid much attention to him this season but he sounds like a right prick with that comment , already trying to get into the refs head as well.

  25. We are the hardest team to beat in the entire league, have lost by 2 goals once all season and that was with 10 men, don't get why anyone thinks we have no chance. Man United obviously have better players and a better team but we will make it so hard for them to win, it's going to be so tight and whoever wins it will likely be by one goal, I can actually see it going all the way to penalties.
