  1. Reading between the lines it looks like Leicester would rather lose Maddison than Fofana.
  2. Very unlikely but we could always try and loan Ekitike from PSG (I know he was one for the future but if we feel he could add an impact this season, it would benefit us, and may also benefit PSG if they feel he would get game time) however as he has turned us down I don’t expect we would take him even if he wanted to come
  3. I mean we obviously will sign attackers, whether we all are happy with whoever they may be is a different question, but I’d be gobsmacked if we get to September 1st without at least 1 forward signed
  4. I think if we go in with a a bid of 52-54 million, it’s a perfectly reasonable offer and I think Leicester would be tempted to accept. However if they turned it down I wouldn’t blame our club at all, I think 45-50 is his value based on 2 years left on his contract.
  5. From what I’ve seen surely he could get a championship gig?
  6. 90min (Graeme Bailey) reporting our bid has been rejected, Leicester will only consider offers if £60 million is reached, and we are unlikely to meet that valuation.
  7. I can’t believe people are still putting a ‘c’ in Paqueta
  8. Would guess that maybe Longstaff will play the Shelvey role
  9. Whilst it is no fun with no leaks, the takeover saga has really improved my patience. we waited 18 painful months for that to happen, and in just 6 weeks the transfer window will be shut and our business will be done, so I am more than content to just wait and see who we buy.
  10. I can only speak for myself but I assumed it would be split 80/10/10 because that’s the split of the ownership? i may be wrong I have little to no business knowledge however if I was in a 50/50 business for example I would expect any investment to be equally split, so assumed the same would apply here
  11. So after todays news is it correct that we have around £130-£140 million extra cash available to use immediately?
  12. But PIF wouldn’t be a related party would they? As they are the owner. a related party as far as I’m aware would be say aramco, who have no link to Newcastle United but do have a link to PIF?
  13. Could be nothing to do with PIF perhaps? Say we want to spend another £100 million on transfers but don’t have the money, PIF may put their 80% in but maybe PCP and/or Rueben don’t have that cash so are taking a loan for their 10% shares?
  14. Possibly a big transfer incoming?
  15. Also if he becomes available for the right price then they will do the deal regardless of if his a priority or not judging by what’s been said previously
  16. I feel bad for him because he does graft and I think he wants to do well, but as others have said he is so stiff, his touch seems terrible and he generally has been poor at the things he should be good at. also my defence of him previously has been that we don’t play to his strengths, for example crossing the ball in as you could argue his aerial ability is his best strength. However, last night and against Everton he has had clear headers close to goal and both times essentially passed it to the keeper, so it’s hard to use that excuse any more as even the clear heading chances we create for him, he generally misses.
  17. Been spraying some great cross field balls tonight he has
  18. Give Almiron the RW spot and splash the budget on Paqueta
  19. Funny how having quality players (Bruno, trippier) has brought him to life, he seems to have great chemistry with both of them. Some really nice link ups
