If Gomez the enabler for them getting Guehi (1 in; 1 out) hopefully we’re not dense enough to help them out by taking a cast off.

Cartel Cunts creeping about: Liverpool target Guehi LIVERPOOL are ready to join the bidding battle for England star Marc Guehi. New Kop boss Arne Slot is keen to rival Newcastle — with Crystal Palace ready to demand £75million for the England centre-back. Dutchman Slot could also lose Guehi’s Three Lions team-mate Joe Gomez as part of a mega deal to land Magpies forward Anthony Gordon. Toon have yet to make a formal offer and Liverpool are waiting in the wings to find out the price while trying to avoid an auction. Guehi, 24, was a standout star for England at Euro 2024 and Palace will have little option but to sell if the right offer comes in. He has two years left on his deal at Selhurst Park.

Absolutely nuts that the amateur accountants are getting the worry beads out when they should be braying themselves raw over a top tier centre half.

Good article in the *spits* Daily Heil today about Trevan Sanusi. Hopefully won’t be long before he makes that breakthrough: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-13701663/Trevan-Sanusi-Eddie-Howe-Newcastle.html

Tommy Cassidy has passed according to NUFC.com. We're sorry to report the passing of former Magpie Tommy Cassidy, at the age of 73. The Northern Ireland international made a £25,000 switch from Glentoran in his native Belfast during October 1970, debuting in a 0-2 defeat against Southampton at the Dell the following month. That would be the first of 239 senior appearances in all competitions over the next decade, before moving on to join Burnley for the 1980/81 season. Originally a striker he became a regular in midfield, finishing on the losing side for the Magpies at Wembley in the 1974 FA Cup Final and 1976 League Cup Final. Cassidy's 28 league and cup goals included a brace in a 3-2 home win over Manchester United in 1973 and six in his final season, memorably rounding off a 3-1 derby victory at Gallowgate on New Years Day 1980. A late flourish for the Clarets included winning the Third Division title and appearing for Northern Ireland at the 1982 World Cup Finals, the last of his 24 caps as substitute in the epic 1-0 wins over hosts Spain. Ending his playing days in Cyprus with Apoel Nicosia, Tommy's managerial career began there before spells in charge of Gateshead, Glentoran, Ards, Sligo Rovers, Workington, Newcastle Blue Star, Whitby Town and Blyth Spartans - leaving Croft Park in October 2012. 2021 brought the sad news that Tommy had been living with dementia since 2017.

With Isak and Wilson’s injury records over the last two seasons he’ll see plenty of pitch time.
