Bastion of reliability TalkSPORT claiming Isak is stalling on signing a new contract.

Steve Bruce?

U.K. fans despise it but a lot of the Twitter plastics associated with these clubs want it.

Chelsea £100m+ to their PE overlords Arsenal £200m+ to the Kroenkes Brighton £300m+ to Tony Bloom although reduced by £30m last year. Everton £400m to Moshiri but expected to be wiped clean when Friedkin completes the takeover

Beginning to think this bloke knows fuck all.

Agreed but still the mechanics on fair value deals, permissible losses etc are still there to be crashed through with two sides that are diametrically opposed. Smacks of trying to solve for the Middle East’s problems. Logical approach but never going to happen.

Genuinely can’t see how they navigate the ship through this. City will push from December 2021 for application of the shareholder loan rules, the PL can’t do it retrospectively, so expect another legal can of worms to be opened. Despite what they’ve said, the PL have absolutely fucked themselves with this one. It’s perfect chaos pitting the two PL factions against each other.

Always been the most Londoncentric paper.

Can fully believe it. We’re going to see more of this now they’re flogging the players into injury red zones with the daft summer tournaments and rounds of international games. Why does Mbappe need to play v Luxembourg other than some Cristiano-esque desire to stat pad.

I’d rather see the Yank owners driven out. They’re a cancer in the league. The pissweak Pound has made it easier for these arseholes and the private equity sharks to pick out clubs off. Honestly hate any involvement these shysters have with our sport. We all know their end game and we’re bumbling into it without a fight.

Just reflecting on the whole thing, we know the whole APT / PSR mechanics whiffs of the US owners. They are closer than ever to their desired outcome of a closed shop. There’s basically no relegation - three clubs are given a crack and look like being bludgeoned down to the Championship with a whimper. At the top, other than the occasional interloper like us and Villa, the Top 6 roles are cast.

Yeah City are barking up the wrong tree with that. Civil lawsuits on financial losses though could be used.

Two reasons: 1) Finding anyone competent wanting to walk into the current mess of the league eating itself alive and completely fractured is a long shot. 2) He’s the useful idiot the Red Cartel put in charge, literally to the level of Man Utd and Liverpool having a soft interview with him. He has overseen a flatlining of the league’s tv rights deals and brought civil war through fluffing his Cartel paymasters. Incompetent doesn’t do it justice.

City have created chaos here. Any team who has been relegated since the APT’s came in, particularly those narrowly relegated at the expense of Everton with their £420m of shareholder loans, has a case to sue the Premier League. Argument being that if the rules were in place, Everton wouldn’t have spent and they could have gone down in Team X’s place. Hell - we could claim compo saying that clubs being able to spend more than they could cost us league places and £2m per spot. Masters claiming a few tweaks can fix this isn’t going to wash as they’re walking into a legal minefield. Best thing they can do is scrap the rules and have at it.

For me it’s the sanctimoniousness and ladder pulling up of the Red Shirts and Spurs that irks me the most. Successful by nature of geography, previous benefactors and history now refusing the chance for anyone else to do that. Throw in their south coast and London bitches like Palace, Brighton, Brentford, Bournemouth and West Ham who can charge £100 a ticket and you’ve got half the league’s voting pool in cahoots to keep the status quo. The Red Shirt Cartel clip the wings of those who dare to compete; The Cockney Cuck Clubs put the boot into the promoted teams to protect themselves.
