  1. Ah. I just assumed he was a tad daft. Glad to see there's more context. That said, be a shame to see Miggy go. Good footballer, bad time to be at the football club. If we didn't have Saint-Max and more invested in Willock he'd be starting and doing good things.
  2. He's not only a very high level footballer he also brings a high level mentality. He's demanding more of them every week and I think a few of them - most notably Fraser - want his approval.
  3. What's the crack with this Mexican stuff then?
  4. Is that not exactly how it should be? I've always disliked the idea that Pepe Mel and Steve Bruce can do the same job but one is 'hounded out' and the other is a clown.
  5. I know people dislike Hurst, but True Faith are probably the best of the podcast run in our parish and I say that as someone that struggles to listen to Norman talk for more than 10 seconds.

Without wishing to inflate egos, I will say as nice as Norwich and Preston are, I'm curious to see how he handles the pressure of this job.

It would, but only on the provision they give him time. This is always their issue. They get a new man in, he's the savior, he might start well, suffer a dip then it's time to chop and change. I understood them doing that when they were in the Premier League and fighting relegation, but they've wasted 5 years in this league by asking each new manager to make chicken salad out of the chicken shit squad he inherited. I wouldn't even bother evaluating him between now and June. Let him figure out the squad and what needs to change.
  8. As I said at the time - start him and there's every chance he has an adrenaline dump and is done by 65 minutes when the game could still be tight. For sure, it was a risk, but giving him that 5 minutes allowed him a chance to have fun, be himself, and get a vibe for what it's like.
  9. Video live from the chicken strangling factory.
  10. Man Utd had a pretty awful window in terms of transfers. They sent Axel Tuanzebe from Villa's bench to Napoli's bench. Donny van de Beek spent so long trying to avoid a relegation battle he ended up in one with a new manager that is unlikely to show him any loyalty as he's a loan player. They're going to pay Jesse Lingard seven figures to do nothing and end his Man Utd career on a sour note, while Dean Henderson is going to end up in a similar boat sat behind De Gea. Martial is off the books for now, but it's unclear what his future is.

Ah yeah so he's clearly the face then but has no actual power.
  12. No great shock. This is the same man who 'jokingly' threatened to slap a female reporter and made out like vaccine rights were the same as LGBTQ. Love this kit. Keep trying to find one with VIana 45 on the back to celebrate the 'what might have been king'.

I know Louis-Dreyfus is an heir to a fortune, but is there even a vague estimate on what money he has available? It wouldn't shock me if Methven and Donald sold him 51% at a low price to take the heat off knowing they could still make a profit if they were to get promoted.

He runs around a lot and is quick. As a late game closer substitute that'll do for now.
  15. I'm hoping a combination of Trippier one side and Burn the other can really help him. He's not one for on the ball, but physically he's solid.
  16. I think he leaves in the summer either way. He's been here a long time (relatively) and I just don't think he works in a Premier League back four. Credit to him, he was overall quite good last night, I just hope he can be consistent with that if Howe selects him.
  17. I felt like I saw the perfect microcosm for his career here last night. He had some nice passes into space that switched the point of attack quickly, but he also had a clear rush of blood with the tackle on Gordon. The problem with him is that you could see that tackle coming a mile off. When the crowd gets up like that he's always the top candidate to cross the line. I guess in an odd way I have to give him some credit for not getting a second yellow, but still. I don't see a way in which he drops out of the XI this season when he's fit and available, and I'm kind of ok with that if the plan is for him to bunker in deep and try to dictate.
  18. Did I say you can't? No I said you disagree. I didn't litter my. posts with 'lols' and going on about 'mans talking about pre-pre assists'. Let's just agree to disagree and leave it there.
  19. He was one that Rafa wanted too FWIW. Shame he can't play Sunday, but we already seemed to have more balance last night in terms of switching flank of attack.
  20. He's played three games. But sure you keep patronising someone that disagrees. At least I've kept civil.
  21. No he played it to Joelinton, who played it to Maxi. The point is he's involved, he's not a passenger. Of course Weghorst has an assist. He and Wood are similar types of players, so the transition for Weghorst to Burnley is significantly easier than Wood to us. We're trying to play it on the ground and get it to. wingers that don't cross. I'm not using pre-assists to defend him. I'm saying give the lad a breathe to get settled and score goals because right now he's doing enough to justify selection. Yes, his movement can be better, but, so too could the chances created for him. Just because I can see what he's offering and you refuse to agree doesn't mean he's been shite.
  22. I'm not sure if anyone else saw this but I thought he looked a bit leaner and more mobile last night. When I saw him at Christmas he looked a bit heavier and like he didn't quite have that burst.

    Joelinton

The duality of his drive and technique in midfield and awful attempts in the penalty area are amusing. That said. He continues to be a major asset to this team and I can't wait to see him and Bruno together.
  24. In that same time frame? With that same pedigree? We exploited an exit clause because we knew the majority wouldn't want to do business. We also have barely created chances for him. Give him a few headers or chances between the posts he'll get a few goals. He literally helped set up the second game.
