Can't tell if you really personally overvalue Murphy or undervalue Longstaff because despite what alot of Newcastle fans will say he's worth far more than that. Not much of a break for those players on International duty this summer. Perhaps those players won't be taking part in this tour? I'm thinking about Gordon and Bruno mainly as they have the highest chance of getting deep in their respective tournaments. But Schar could also get alot of game time.

Neither have been particularly impressive in that first half. But that could be more down to the fact neither team seem to really want to attack the game, which is understandable given it's the first leg. I think Gnonto would cost a bit more but then again it will depend if either of these teams go up as well.

No I know and that bit wasn't aimed specifically at you, more to the fact that I've seen it so often over the last couple of weeks particularly where people will say "if only we'd beaten team X and team Y, we'd be in 5th already" and that's all well and good but we've also lucked out in a few games and got point we probably didn't deserve. Same goes for the teams around us, they probably all think they should have more points but that's the great thing about a 38 game season, you get what you deserve at the end of it.

Don't disagree with much of that other than the start of the second paragraph. It's not our home games that have cost us this season, we've done just as well this season at home as we did last season. It's the away games, majority of them have been either poor results or poor performances or a combination of both. We've got a long way to go before we can look at games like this against Brighton or Everton or even Forrest at St James's and expect us to beat them every single time, it's just not where we are yet.
