Can't wait to see who they get in as replacement.

So are you assuming our owners don't have a plan? They have consistently referred to the long term vision or project. At the time of the takeover managers weren't exactly lining up to join us. It was Howe or Emery and Emery kept gobbing off to the press while Howe kept a dignified silence. It seems like your suggesting we ditch Howe after a few weeks, a manager with proven PL experience of keeping shit teams in the league. I also think the football has improved since Howes arrival, we just haven't gotten the results. A lot of people seem to give a fuck what the media says, they provide the international and world wide perspective of Newcastle United and half the posts on here are commenting on the media. It's just my opinion, but despite the results I still feel we are on the right track and going forward the future has never looked so good for NUFC.
-
Totally agree with all of that.... turning round NUFC after years of Ashleys neglect is like turning round the QE2..... the takeover fairy tale hasn't delivered the results we expected or hoped for.... but slowly and surely the ship is finally moving in the right direction.

I don't know what's happened to Lascelles but he's gone from being a rock to a liability and he's not popping up with the odd headed goals like he used to. He was even being touted for England at one point. He was shit under Bruce and I wonder if all the talk of incoming transfers is unsettling him under Howe. Whatever the reason he needs to move on. He maybe just needs a fresh challenge. I'm sure he will grow and thrive at the right club....but that just isn't NUFC anymore.
-
They are not going to sack Howe and nor should they. It would stink of unprofessionalism and the media would have a field day. There is a long term plan in place and Howe is/was the starting point.
-
Totally agree with this. It's very early days in the great scheme of things. Fat Mike left a crumbling, hollow shell, no money in the world will fix the mess he left in a few weeks or months....but all things considered we are moving in the right direction, there will be hiccups along the way but NUFC and the changes are going to be massive..... far bigger than we have ever known and possibly far bigger than football has known.

Chris Wood (now playing for Nottingham Forest)

FFS, we all know Wood no Shearer but he only arrived 48 hours ago. -
No - I wanted Howe and not Emery. I felt he was the right man for this part of the NUFC evolution project given the position we are in and I still believe this.

Is it just me or does he look like Vladimir Putins love child?

I'm disappointed but not panicing yet. It's still 3 from 4 at the minute and Leeds & Everton could still get dragged into it. Even based on the 3 from 4 I think we will buy our way out of it. It really depends on who we get in.
-
Yep....and Cattermole.......glory days.
-
Agree..... and RTG would be even more hilarious.
-
Probs would be a good dressing room and crowd morale booster for them.

Just been on Tyne Tees they are thinking about bringing back 39 year old Jermaine Defoe....the manager wouldn't rule the idea out. I think we should hi-jack this deal. He could still do a job for us even at 39, the toilets haven't been mopped for weeks.
-
So as long as the club doctor says a player is injured they can get the game called off? Does anybody check the injuries are genuine?
-
Apart from Ciaran......I obviously didn't include him.

Newcastle United vs Watford: 15/01/22 @ 3pm (No UK TV)

It's hard to change things with a small shit squad.....he wasn't exactly over run with choices or options at Bournemouth or Burnley - the team more or less picks itself. -
What the others have said but I also think the draw of PSG compared to us is far greater at the minute. He would still get cup games etc and if Mbappe got injured he would have the chance to play at the highest level with world class players and more importantly win trophies.

The 1-0 against Burnley was my first game in years (gave up ST due to Ashley) but must admit it was fuckin awesome, SJP felt like SJP again and level 7 was bouncing. It just felt really good to feel like it was my club again, my team again, the team I've supported all my life but was snatched away by that fat cunt. The only thing that spoiled it was the Sports Direct advertising but thankfully even that's gone now. I understand your anxiety - this game is even bigger....but SJP is SJP again and NUFC is NUFC again....and in some ways that's the most important thing...win, lose or draw we have hope again....I'm convinced we will stay up cos even if we lose I think the new owners will just spunk more money before the end of January......they've basically just spent £25m for an emergency striker for this game!! HTL. On a different note Dancing Brave was the last horse I ever bet on, knew some guy who worked at the stable and he used to 'advise' me when to have a flutter. -
There's a few sources saying PSG interested.....if so we have no chance....but then again most are just restating what others say so its hard to get the real truth on anything at the minute.
-
I don't think they've ever even paid £15m for a player and doubt their whole team is worth £20m.
-
He has been a good servant for us and WBA. Keeps his head down, does his job to the best of his ability, never no controversy or bad press and a true professional. I wish him the best of luck whatever happens.

We're willing to sell Longstaff.

Maybe....but just to get out the relegation spot temporarily is a step in the right direction. -

Toon to beat Watford and a deflated Burnley to lose at home to Leicester resulting in NUFC finally moving out of the relegation zone. After last weeks disappointment it's bounce back time
