Feel sorry for Hradecky. We are so bad and he is so good.
-
Hradecky saved pretty much everything before that.

England will get out of the first gear second half. Keskinen should have passed to Pukki…
-
Yea our goalie gifted the first and then it was game over. Going to be ugly on Tuesday.
-
England-Finland is going to be about 5-0. We are so bad defensively now. And offensively too..
-
I don't recall him having a save to make. We were abysmal.

What is wrong with Speed's shirt there..?

"There was also dialogue with Nottingham Forest over Anthony Elanga, but contrary to reports in the East Midlands it did not extend to a deadline day bid of £50m." -

I do not know who he is referring to. Hall was quite expensive, if you consider that he didn't play much. And yes I know we paid for potential and most likely he will become great. I think he might also refer to players bought in the past, that we are not able to sell. (Lewis, Almiron, Wilson, Dubravka?) Most likely wages are the problem here, and not the actual fee. Around 60 millions does not buy you Stones or Colwill, and most likely not Konsa. Maguire is over the hill. -

I don't think 60+5 million is "way over the odds" for England international centre back who still has 10 years at the top... -
Forest, Fulham, West Brom and Southampton

Liverpool's pressing was very good. Not as aggressive as under Klopp, but certainly destroyed ManUs build up play totally.
-
Touched the ball after that first contact. Straightaway I wondered how that was not checked? Clear contact with Isak's foot first.
-
Howe again instructed Joelinton to follow Odobert when out of position so it formed a back 5. Same as with Andersson last year.
-
Badly needs Schär next to him. Defending deep like that is piss easy for him.

I do not say Forest is wrong to ask 50 million. So in that way it is not crazy money. But with that money you can get a much better player than Elanga from abroad. And we have to be doing that sort of deals. We are not able to pay 50 million for average players, they have to improve us greatly. Elanga does not. With Gordon, you are paying for England International (u21 that time). They always cost more. If you for ex. look players that have been moved this season for about 50 million they include: Douglas Luiz Moussa Diaby Amadou Onana Pedro Neto Joao Felix Michael Olise I would say they are on different level than Elanga. Of course wages are most likely higher.
-
Point is, you said 50 millions for Anthony Elanga is not crazy money. I say it is and we cannot be making that sort of deals. English is my 3rd language, so apologies if I have misread your post in some way. I would say we just disagree on this one.
-
Again people who say RW is bigger problem than CB. Everytime Burn or Krafth got the ball, they only could play the easy pass. Opponents cannot give Schär for ex. that kind of space and time, cause he will put on the plate for Gordon. Our lack of ball playing centrebacks is causing a lot of problems. And just getting Schär back is not going to solve all of them
-
No, you havent been watching Elanga’s stats, and comparing his price to Gordon is ridiculous. 50 million buys you a lot better player than Anthony Elanga.
-
50 million for Elanga is crazy money. Just the kind of deal we shouldnt be making.
