Yea, but when you don't have a 20 goals-a-season striker, you need to have many players to pop up with few goals. If you have 3 CMs who open up defence but no one supports the striker to offer threat, it's no use. Even Longstaff scored few. He is a strong runner with the ball but needs to be braver when against low block. Either try to beat your man or play combinations. Now it seems he plays the simple pass quite often. And he is quite one-footed. And yes. we need players who can pass better and receive the ball between the lines on the half turn. Bruno can, but he usually is the player playing the first pass and we need others. Woltemade can, but he is not learnt the tempo yet, takes too much time with the ball. He has attributes to be success here though.

I think we have been a lot better than last season. Year ago we got results in games when we were totally shit and were about the same as now in December. We played 3-4 games without a striker, and our new players have been underperforming. We will be better in the 2nd half of the season. Enough to save Howe’s job? Dunno.
