I dont think us or City would spend much more on players than Man United for example…
-
135k/week reported somewhere. That is quite a lot.
-
30-35 million for Mbeumo is fine. 50 million should get you a better player to be honest
-
And Hall 30 million on top of that? no chance I would think. 100 million reduced by sales I would guess.
-
Mbeumo would obviously be upgrade on Almiron, but really would like to see us aim higher. If FFP is a problem and does not allow us to splash 50-60 million for a RW, then he is fine of course.

Your own football ability - how good are/were you?

As a Finn, we trained on snowy pitch or sand for until May, then on to horrible bumpy grass.. Now that my 3 yo has started "football" (more like group of kids and parents play around a bit with the ball and then there are different workouts for parents too in the same time) they are on artificial turf and during winter a warm indoor pitch. So a bit different I played as a striker as until 13-14, scored a decent amount but wasn't much of athlete. As a adult I have played as centerhalf and DM. Just kicking people to bits. -
189cm really is not a midget...
-
Tripps also has had injury problems. If he moves will we replace him? Tino first choice and Krafth behind, or Ashby?

Surely this cannot be the right answer? -
Gallagher of course is a great player. But for that amount and our FFP problems, our needs elsewhere are bigger
-
Burn and Lascelles are one of the reason we are not a top top team. So are Longstaff, Andersson, Dubravka and Almiron. All these need upgrading. I agree midfield needs reinforcing. But Gallagher is a 50-60 million player who is an England International. We are not going to buy him to put him ( or Brazil International or Italy International, both 50-60 million players) on the bench. We are nowhere near that yet. We have Almiron and Murphy RW and aging Schär as the only fit top level CB. And injury prone Wilson as the only option for CF. edit. Tonali is Longstaff replacement. I understand buying Gallagher if Bruno leaves

Please stop with this bs -
And Gallagher is a player we absolutely do not need at the moment
-
Hopefully no DCL. And Bowen is a great player, so is MGW but damn both will be expensive. Would rather have us look for left footer RW and from the continent.
-
De Zerbi left Brighton because he didnt get enough say on who comes and goes. How is that different with Chelsea?
-
I see no point going after him, cause we will not match the wages. So the problem is again the same : money.
-
Yes, and when/if we match that other team, like Liverpool or ManU also match that and can offer 50k + more wages.
-
No chance for Bowen. Absolutely no chance we pay West Ham sort of money they ask for. Same goes for Sesko, Olise and Raphinha.
-
I don't know if it was mentioned already, but Mamardashvili or whatever the spelling apparently said his goodbyes to Valencia fans at the end of last game. So he is leaving most likely.

Manchester United 3-2 Newcastle United (15/05/24) | Reaction: pg 53

Our defence is so weak at the moment, and Dubravka added to that... Toney will score a couple. Krafth is weak in the air, but Trippier was choses I guess because Schär was not trusted to last 90 mins. Trippier was horrible, I mean looked like he was drunk. Isak was way too isolated and we (especially Hall) played ball long too quickly. There were huge gaps between ManU defence and top 6 again, but we decided to hoof it long to Gordon and Isak who were 2v4 or 2v3. This is one thing I hope Howe can fix next season. Just play past their press, which we did yesterday by switching to Trippier, and there were oceans of space. Sadly then it was 1v1 Murphy v Dalot. If we only had a decent RW.. -

ManU are marking Bruno very tightly and letting our centrebacks have the ball. Burn is so useless in possession -

If ManU lose to Arsenal, draw this and we will certainly end up above them. Shouldn't be too much to ask looking at their team... We are horrible away tho. -
People are really saying Hojlund's goal should have stood? He just jumps to keeper and is nowhere near the ball, tackling him out of of the way Of course that is a foul ffs
-
Kudus seems like someone Liverpool or ManU could move for. Out of our reach certainly now.
