  1. Absolute cheating fucking cunts these. Hate them, will always hate them. Fuck the ‘taking on the cartel’ shite.
  2. No, fuck right off with that. A referee and linesman shouldn’t need multiple slow-down replays to make those calls.
  3. Or when a linesman can do his job from a free kick and look down the fucking line
  4. Watson, Clark, Elliott, Howey were all part of a side which came close to winning the league and were part of the team which had our highest finish(es) in seven decades. Not sure that’s failed promise.
  5. No movement on sponsors, training ground nor the stadium - but let’s get the plebs into office, that’s how we’ll grow.
  6. The man on the left has the highest win ratio of any PL-era Spurs manager.
  7. Spurs would and then would sack him within six months
  8. As horrifying as it was, it was three seasons. His contract ran for six.
  9. Robert is the cleanest striker of a ball I’ve ever seen in B&W Re Ginola - he’s probably the finest passer of a ball I’ve seen. He was genuinely two-footed, and would just stroke the ball and it would be pinged to feet from any distance. When Cruyff talked about being able to shut his eyes and know if a player was top class by the sound the ball made when a player struck it, he could’ve been talking about Ginola. He also always seemed to have time on the ball - always the sign of a top player - Bruno is the player we have today who has that characteristic; never hurried, never hassled. The proviso re Ginola is that English football has never been weaker than when he was playing for us - I was there when he turned Cox inside-out, but if Neil Cox was playing today there’s zero chance it would be for a PL club.
  10. Aren’t Teslas fuelled by hate or something? I know it isn’t petrol.
  11. I don’t think there should be transfer windows for players, let alone managers
  12. Anthony Gordon doing Johnny Cage’s ‘Friendship’ finisher there
  13. If our Saudi overlords don’t help - definitely
  14. All the coaching and training in the world can’t make someone significantly quicker, assuming that they’re already fit - and as Woltemade and Wissa are pro footballers, they’re as close to peak fitness as anyone could be. Wissa isn’t particularly young, either. They don’t fit what Howe clearly wants - I’d be very surprised if both are here in September.
  15. Reminds me of that photo that they published each issue in Viz of Ryan Giggs, where the eyes got closer and closer together until he pretty much had one eye
  16. Joelinton was also salvaging a massive transfer mistake - he was never worth what we paid to be a hard tackling midfielder.
  17. Does Beardsley get a pass?
  18. It absolutely is - the Smoggies have more top flight seasons than Palace, Brighton, Brentford and Bournemouth combined. You could add Fulham’s to all of those southern clubs and it’s roughly the same number as the Mackems. PSR is permanently changing the geography of the top flight.
  19. He hasn’t been great, but my take would be that the problems are more deep-rooted and what’s happening is the result of years’ of mismanagement at all levels
  20. If they’re even vaguely serious about the sales pitch they keep pushing, then this is the starter for ten. Zero chance of getting anywhere near those stated ambitions without it. You can’t keep ramping ticket prices up in the NE of England.
  21. And if we’re not changing our style, it doubles-down that we probably need to push our acquisitions from last summer out and roll the dice again
  22. See also: Brady’s ties to the Tory govt. Amazing what cronyism can get you.
