The shirts that look like American "football" or basketball referees or Foot Locker shoe store employees? Don't forget Joe Biden promised to make KSA a "pariah." Newcastle is never going to be a big team in America.
-
He seems to have a big ego because of his position on the USMNT. Not getting along w/ Tuchel is one thing (Mirror), but Potter doesn't seem to rate him either. If we sign him and he sits behind ASM, Miggy, Wilson, Isak, how long until the complaints start? I suppose using him as attacking midfielder might solve his playing time requirements. Not worth the risk.
-
I love his motor if not his touch but doesn't he play on the left where we already have Burn and Targett (not getting time). We should be set there. I don't see the value.
-
Fraser leaving suggests we are going to add a quality forward (that can play across the front three i hope) this window.

Ends '23 where player has the option to extend a year (at least that is how I read the article): https://www.sussexlive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/graham-potter-leandro-trossard-newcastle-7492528

Maybe Ajax will sell Edson Alvarez this winter. They rejected 25m offer because they want to see what he does at the World Cup supposedly.

James Maddison (now playing for Tottenham Hotspur)

Foxes are hanging on to Tielmans whose contract expires in summer '23. I would guess they will hang on to Maddison too. -

Is Wilson part of the strongest 11 if he never plays? Availability is the most important asset. -
Elliot Anderson (now playing for Nottingham Forest)

He could play a big role in what transfers we need in January since he can play both wings and AM. Find his best position and get a transfer for the other position. -
So now we are expecting Wilson to remain healthy? He's already missed 40% of the season with injury. I know it's early but that is the point too; it's early and he is already out. Isak is his replacement. Would not be surprised to see us sell him and replace him with a younger player next summer, especially if that younger player can move out wide.

Was this the board talking about Pedro as a more natural 10? Agree would still love to pick him up.
-
Who thinks Pedro is worth more than 30M? There is a reason no one else is interested. He's a project that doesn't score. I would be happy with the 25m +5m add ons but paying above that seems crazy when we need more than one signing.
-
Can't imagine Watford turns down 25m + 5m for an inured player that doesn't score. Dragging this out means they won't have time to buy anyone either.
-
Agree. We don't seem interested in Bamba Dieng either, and he is going to go for about 15m. Sarr or Dieng would bring immediate improvement and goal scoring on the right wing w/ the occasional cover for Wilson. They are also both young. We seem to be set on taking on a project in Pedro. He may have a higher upside both he will take longer to contribute.
-
Is Bamba Dieng the backup? I would not feel bad about him over Pedro especially with the savings.
-
We had an agreement for 26m for Ekitike (surely there were add-ons too), and he was the first choice. Can't imagine there will be much if any increase. Pedro is under contract for the next five years. Foxes need to sell Maddison or sign him to a new contract or they will lose a lot of money next summer.

Buy Paqueta for 33M and get scoring help on loan from Chelsea. Either Pulisic or CHO.
-
Two transfers that could have worked for Newcastle: Luis Sinisterra to Leeds for 27.5 (although mainly lw) Brenden Aaronson to Leeds for 36.13. Leeds almost relegated.
-
On second thought, he does play some rw, but the bid is already at 25m+ right?
