Been every bit the mulch anticipated performatively, but whilst there's mathematically something to play for results will take precedence

I get Bordeaux them after a while myself.

Was just thinking about that match yesterday in a discussion about Brown Ale. Its synonymous with the smell for me, the brewery nearby, the denizens, the Gallowgate bogs - walking up the steps all carried on a lovely warm pinkening spring evening about to be completely ruined by the football. It was about my tenth game and at the back of the sparsely populated Gallowgate right next to people setting fires to scarfs and shirts chanting "die United, die United" I remember Sweeney being ripped to shreds by Jimmy Carter for Millwall in the 90/91 season. Was in the paddock close to it - put you off being a footballer being on the recieving end of that. Was the worst one on one mauling I'd seen until Ginola v Cox.

Never seen a team that was more only going to be saved from relegation by the bell than Norwich that day. Utter freefall. Joint 6th at the turn of the year. But glad of the chance with the ice broken to post an obscure spot. More proud of the Where's Wally work than anything else, after someone put the original picture up.

Started out as Wembley singles or doubles, became just 'singles' or 'doubles'. Devaluing the domestic cups years before Ferguson. Also operated a "two and through" system with 3 in the final with the guy out in the first round or one of the doubles having to go in goal for the next tournament.

Long as he's no relation to that diving tw*t Sergio Cuntceicao

I haven't signed up so haven't checked this version but I recall exactly what you mean now you mention it - on Robert's free-kick in particular and on official video the audio was a split second off too. Was just this game I'm pretty sure. Weird.

Excellent, hopefully no retro dubbed on commentary, but still lot of untelevised memories. Been after good quality version of the Sheffield Wed highlights from 97/98 since my tape with it on was dastardly disposed of after I moved out. Be great to see stuff back in the day that was never more than a couple minutes on a season video.

Shades of Peter "Wilderbeast with a drink problem" Shilton in the 1990 semi-final from Donnarumma in that shoot out.
-
Think the whole problem is were not growing. Through no fault of our own. The glass ceiling is only going to become more pronounced as years go by, ourselves and Villa are sick of it already and if we cant smash through nobody can - the others just don't realise it yet. Fans need the sense, even if false, - hope effectively, that your club will move forward, from whatever position your club is in. When a club has hit the ceiling and novelty wears off it goes this way before long. Your asking an emotive experience to be melancholic and settle. Especially if your club is capable of much miore.

A gentleman will walk but never run

Barton? Liverpool paid more than that for Jason McAteer the same summer for context and he also sold a forward for British record fee too. Draw the line at KK being thrown under the bus.

Took too long to rethink the 90s scores and type it out to catch the edit.
-
definitely not. They won 3-1 one time and there was one 0-0 draw but every other game was 2-1, 1-1 or 1-0

That to me is the only benefit, variety. Cant find an actual footballing one and its one thing for us but the the mainstays its the mostly same teams every season. Quarabag and USG aside it was all a repeat even for us.
-
All I know is we got to the same point under Sir Bobby in 02/03 and to just myself personally 20years ago though it was, its more memorable than this seasons which ended 2hours ago. Effectively three or four knockout games within the group context, six-eight games against contemporary giants and every one was competitve.
-
The thought of playing either Pope or Ramsdale the rest of this season is unedifying in itself without having the prospect of it next at the same time.
-
Think that's a lovely feeling in general. Like if your running late for the game and hear the teams coming out or match going on as you head up to the ground. The incidents that come to mind were night games so something in that.
-
Its the pits. The usual suspects and every Premier League club are just competing to avoid the extra play-off game over eight games. A small compromise would be reduce the league stage to six (like the old groups) and have an extra knockout round. Cant envisage having any interest in the league phase going forward and until the last few games other than seeing new teams not too much should we ever return.

What's it like to be an after thought in your rivals week again?
-
Thinks he's Fabien GalthiƩ - is more like that fraud Fabian out of Milli Vanilli
-
Said there'd be defecits overturned last week for those thinking the games were dead - European football is littered with such comebacks ..but even the games that are dead tonight are spiffing fun I must say
-
So Bodo didn't even get as far as Rosenborg did, for all the drama. Done well still though.

I'm about done with football. Got our cup and now its just whether City get these rules thrown out or at least made even vaguely fair. Otherwise its fuck this for a game of soldiers.
