Definitely got that pre big night game buzz. One of those with a decent dose of fear that at some point - seeing the lights, in the ground, teams coming out, anthem - you go "fuck it, nowt left for it, lets go" Just like the first time really. Second time (03) was in the works gym at the riverside business park at this point expending nervous energy before heading up.

So they've had the same amount of top four and top six finishes as we have but less top two so if anything a worse record. Imagine what it would be like if we hadn't been sabotaged for 14years

Would love it if one of the red cartel or Chelsea were relegated (in lieu of going out of business forever which would be preferrable) but Spurs would funnier somehow. Its like if you had to pick someone to storm into a ring and snap both quads I'd rather it was Putin or someone, but nothing would be funnier than it being Vince McMahon.

Had to think about that because the username is based on a legit nickname from decades ago (and if on anyone Jonas Thern) but I got there in the end and you're right when I recall him marauding at Man United on his debut.

Of course they've aggreed to it. If you made a top 10 play-offs they agree to that too. Always hated the playoffs and the manufactured bigger picture drama hanging over what's just a mid (now lower-mid) table game deep into the season. Prefer it just to be about the sport and the teams on the day (and their historic records) and think always thinking about the playoffs detracts from that. The rest of the season after we gave up on them in 90/91 was a lot more enjoyable. (Admittedly that's pretty much all I'm basing it all on)

runs like me when I'm late for something and take two steps a stride on the stairs

Nah at that point I was just happy to have possession in that area of the field, maybe for him to win a free-kick or something
-
That's the most upset I've seen him since that dwarf prossy knifed him in the Last Resort.

The stumble at least causes an accidental fall, you're not going to plant your foot like that as a player and risk doing yourself a mischief deliberately, it should be no booking whether he's been touched or not.

If we didn't get a result tonight it wouldn't have been on the manager, as a collective with what we can put out that was as much as I could expect and was just the flaws in those players that was holding us back before the referee decided to.

Don't know if the keeper couldn't read it because the defender inadvertantly shielded the connection or because it was Osula and anything could happen

Played well all game. The overall team performance was only being let down by the lackings of some individuals. Somehow we got there and got what we deserved. Feel like I'm still waiting for the sucker punch

Think a lot of dads and grandads broke the boycott with the justification of taking kids. I made well out of but we didn't go to that Millwall game at the end of the previous so somewhat contributed. Was right at the back of the Gallowgate towards the corner, still got a first hand memory of Quinns pen, one of the few over the years, I find they usually get lost to the TV version. Also remember Vinnie Jones having a sockless pre-match walk around (wasn't playing iirc) in the same grey suit he wore on Wogan the night before, people did say he was a dirty bastard

My first 2nd tier experience was the Mickey Quinn Leeds game. Lovely sunny day and evening, came from behind, won, loads of goals, buzzing, got a pink from the Greys Monument entrance to Eldon Square. Was by far the best experience I'd had in football, never knew it could feel like that. Course was having a hissy fit and pulling pictures off my wall a month later after getting beat at Oxford. Spurs will probably beat Palace next and put the whole thing to bed. Would have salvaged this awful season too.

He only played in the actual game after which ten games were left and wherein the gap was reduced to 3points.

Objectives have already been hit in the cups. If we finished where we are now I think he'll be looked at and I cant blame them. They're not football people and will see a massive decline in the league irrespective of circumstanes. I think to be fair you'd have to accept even as football people 13th or lower is unacceptable. May as well wait for the end of the season (please, hurry) because we could just as easily finish 8th or 9th which would be fine, with the cups.
-
Predictably shit performance, result and game. This league season is purgatory.
-
Expect a chore of this. Moyes and Everton are better suited to spoilers as an away team than having the onus on them at home. It'll be just like last game of last season just have to somehow make sure were the ones that get the goal
-
....it was the sixth (and seventh) time that we met
-
Would still take the cup final

Can see him upgrading the club shop to a Sports Direct but that's about it.

Eat your heart out old football.

That SJP is a big stadium in the 3D world and not some tesseract where all views are good and close to the pitch somehow
