Time will tell but genuinely feel like we have fallen behind the clubs around us in this window making the return to Europe harder. West ham Spurs Villa Chelsea all look to have more squad depth. Can argue Brighton have bridged the gap as well.

Would absolutely keep him, certainly don't think tino has nailed down the RB position to the point where Howe would be against putting Trippier back in.

Do we not have a short list of other players, I would tell Parish to fuck off off. It's great we've picked up a lot of good lads from the prem but our scouting abroad seems pretty poor.

Some of the comments in this thread are baffling... He played out of position for England and had a few bad performances Dec/Jan but he got 10 assists last season and since signing has been one of our most creative players. As it stands he is still in our best 11.

Whats disappointing I think is all these workshops led to very little, memberships, safe standing, atmosphere etc. yes they made small change where you can select seats but ultimately still just a raffle with no loyalty etc

How? I dunno why some fans think you only need 11 players, look at parts of last season where our midfield was depleted and overrun by subpar teams, willock forever injured, sold Anderson, tonali gonna take time to get back to full fitness

Feel bad on those paying members, logged in both times to help my mate out who's on holiday and chances of tickets are so slim and there's no loyalty to build up members point etc.

Whatever happens to Trippier he will go down as a fantastic servant to the club, might not ot had best games for England and few ropey performances before his injury but his Newcastle career will go down as nothing but top class

It's sad how anal fans are about where they sit. Like you i've been all over. 2 seats in Leazes, 2 in leazes corner, level 7 and strawberry corner. Seat moves would improve atmosohere but so many fans are selfish.

I think people get hung up chances missed by top strikers, as its been mentioned by people such as Shearer and Ally Mccoist recently but top strikers miss chances in positions that good/average strikers don't get in to. Makes me laugh how Haaland gets stick.

Agreed but our Safe standing was done as a "trial" you'd like to think by even half way through season they can measure if it's a success and next steps.

If we started the consulation of seat moves in March then there is no reason why this could'nt of be implemented in the summer ahead of new season as other clubs have done the same. If Man Utd did seat moves for 7k safe standing a few year back and rolled it out successfully then how can't we do a couple of thousand in the Leazes end? It could easily be done but we have a large amount of fans who put themselves before the club.

Sunderlandd announced only last week they are adding safe standing for the new season and their season starts earlier than ours, Liverpool also announced same thing this month that Kop will all be safe standing.
