  1. He doesn’t say that we only shop in the Premier League to be fair, but nice straw man all the same.
  2. I think they said at the time that the last time a club finished 7th and didn’t qualify for European football was when Wigan and Swansea won the cup competitions a decade ago. If Howe can’t achieve European football this season then he will be gone, if he lasts that long.
  3. Because people don’t want to hold Howe responsible for our poor season so far.
  4. I want Iraola because Bournemouth play exciting football and are a great team to watch, along with him improving all of the players there. Howe’s position was completely different, having left Bournemouth after they were relegated.
  5. Mitchell should be having discussions with Iraola about coming here from Bournemouth. If he can get them playing the sort of football they do with a Ryan Christie and Lewis Cook partnership in midfield then surely he can better that with Bruno and Tonali.
  6. It is easy to say it because the players are not good enough, but who from Brentford would get in to our best eleven? Or from Bournemouth, Fulham or Forest? You would be lucky to have 2 or 3 from each team getting in to our best eleven, yet they are going out and playing decent football because their managers have them motivated and sending them out with a game plan.
  7. Bournemouth are so enjoyable to watch.
  8. Yesterdays performance was great, as was the home performance against Arsenal a month ago, and the home game against Man City just over a month before that. What that demonstrates is that we are raising our performances for the big games, yet the games in between like Palace, West Ham and Fulham we have been terrible and look unmotivated. Hopefully this is us turning the corner, and the December fixtures don’t look too bad with 2 promoted sides at home, but it does feel like we have been in a similar position a number of times this season and failed to build on it.

    Will Osula

Hall was always destined to be a quality footballer, he was Chelsea’s academy player of the year, had made a number of appearances for their first team and had even been called up to train with England due to the potential he had. The only issue Hall had was fullback being a new position for him, and if he would make it there or would be better off as a left central midfielder, so he needed time to adapt to the position and cut out mistakes, which he would have got on loan or training in that position. Osula hasn’t got anything like that sort of pedigree and nothing about him or his career trajectory screams that he is destined to be a top player. What strikers do need is minutes on the pitch and building up confidence in front of goal, even if that means dropping down a division to get games and goals under their belt.
  10. I expect a high scoring and open game. Hopefully Isak will be fit.
  11. It does, both paying a manager off when sacking them and finding agreement for the replacement, although you would expect the latter to be spread over the length of contract, like a transfer fee.
  12. A good read on Iraola’s style of football, which has a lot of similarities to Howe’s first full season here, but with the midfield shape that we have been crying out for. https://www.skysports.com/amp/football/news/11095/13235389/andoni-iraola-explains-the-high-risk-tactics-behind-his-bournemouth-transformation-before-arsenal-test
  13. I don’t remember us having a shot off target.
  14. The good news is that Palace are even less of a threat in front of goal than we have been this season.
  15. BBC are saying we have had an attempt off target? I can only think of the play that hit Bruno on the back of the head and went out for a goal kick.
  16. They have just shown the highlights at half time and all 5 segments shown involved Palace attacks.
  17. Their counter attack when Munoz missed the sitter was outstanding to be fair to them.
  18. Lucky to go in at half time level. We haven’t created anything.
  19. Palace are relegation fodder so it should be a comfortable win. Hopefully a good performance that we can take in to the Liverpool game.
