Bournemouth need a few more players in. They really miss Kluivert when he isn’t there, especially when they have to replace him with Tavernier.
-
I can’t see Isak saying no, he might drag it out until the end of the window but when he knows the Liverpool option isn’t happening then he is left with going to the current Champions League winners or having to be completely humbled by crawling back and hoping the fans forgive him.

I’ve suggested this move a couple of times on here over the last week or so, and if neither club has a need to sell for PSR reasons then we can do a loan with an obligation next July, so it pushes back the FFP window it is completed in. Bonus him not going to Liverpool.
-
Bournemouth have apparently tried to buy him and Chelsea have said they are only prepared to loan him out.
-
There was talk earlier in the window that Miley wasn’t happy with the amount of game time he was getting last season so he could have pushed for a loan move.
-
Miley out on loan and Philip Billing coming in.
-
Easy engagement coming out with stuff like that. All of the Liverpool dickheads hanging on for any news about Isak can pile in to it.
-
Too good for the Championship, although if he does drop down it is a good footballing club to go to.
-
Isak’s potential replacement.

I don’t think Liverpool pay them anything, what they do is give them ongoing and up to date information and expect cooperation in return. Like any source, once you break that trust then the information dries up. The deal wouldn’t be done either by the way, it would be agreed in principle depending on us finding a replacement, which isn’t guaranteed. I don’t see any other reason to go quiet, Liverpool know what the 2 conditions are to getting a deal done.

They only know what Liverpool feed them, so if they were told to keep away from the subject as they are pretty much done and they don’t want anything to jeopardise it, then they would keep their mouths shut, knowing they would get the exclusive when the time comes to announce. What they won’t do is go against Liverpool, as they won’t be fed information going forward. I think something has happened behind the scenes, and if Liverpool had walked away then we would have known about it.
-
Palace on loan if Eze goes to Spurs maybe, with an obligation if he makes a certain amount of appearances. I can’t see anyone buying him this window.
-
I think so, unless we move someone else on.
-
Both clubs would have agreed to inflate the transfer fees, to benefit FFP head room, like we did with Forest.
-
If Barnes was going the other way then we would have paid about £70 million for Ramsey, with them giving us around the same for Barnes.
-
Brentford is a good move for his career, he will likely get an initial pay increase and the chance to put himself in the shop window by being a regular starter for a more lucrative move further down the line. He apparently earns £35k per week at Bournemouth so you would expect that to jump to at least £50k per week.

I think people look at Jackson like he is the finishes article in terms of development and that isn’t the case, there is a lot of untapped potential in him. He is less than a year older than Woltemade, but has a much better scoring record, yet one would be seen as coming in with bags of potential but the other not? He just lacks the wow factor like Isak has when he around the box, but he does tick a lot of boxes in terms of what Eddie might want in a frontman, while being able to work on his confidence and composure. The AFCON becomes an issue if we are also buying Wissa but that is for the club to work out, maybe a decision needs to be made on Osula if the faith isn’t there for him as a third choice striker. If the price is right then he would be a decent signing, potentially giving us a pot of money left if Isak is sold to strengthen elsewhere.

It is more dangerous giving squad players big money than breaking the wage structure for the top players. At least there is that justification with giving it to the likes of an Isak, whereas once you start dishing out big money for someone like Ramsey then it becomes difficult to justify not giving it to the likes of Hall, Livramento and Barnes.
-
Tonali was seen as a big statement signing at the time to be fair.
-
I said the other day that we could do worse than offering Isak to PSG on loan and asking for Ramos on loan in return, with an option to buy. Isak would have to be terrible to lose his value in France and a perfect place to put him in the shop window.

No idea, and when journalists do report it they are only believed when the figure is high. We were told that we were free to spend this summer and has no worries about FFP due to the low spend last summer, so I was expecting a net spend of between £100 and £120 million. Which seems to be about where we are with Wissa and Ramsey.
-
If we sign Ramsey and Wissa for the reported fees then that is about where I expected us to be in terms of net spending going in to the summer.
