My comment is in regards to those that have said if we let him leave then others might do the same when other clubs come in for them, I have asked how much impact it had on Chelsea when they let Gallas go under similar circumstances? Did all of their players behave in a similar manner when clubs were interested in them?

The issue if he does stay is any bad performance will be seen as downing tools, any injury will be seen as faking to keep his price down etc. He has made it deliberately toxic.

If £130 million for him was cheap then other clubs would be putting bids in. His behaviour has devalued him as a player, which was the intention, and there is a good chance we won’t get £130 million for him in January or next summer.

It was rumoured at the beginning of our interest coming out that Wolves wanted £65 million for him. I’ve said before but I don’t see why he couldn’t get 20 goals a season for us with the chances we create, his movement off the ball is top level. I know people like the WOW factor in players, those individual brilliance goals and he doesn’t have that. However, he is productive and will pick us up a lot of points by being in the right place at the right time.

If he does go to Liverpool I hope someone like Bruno or Trippier comes out and says that the players wanted him gone, and he was a bad egg.

I mention Isak in that there is no guarantee of Champions League even with a world class striker, I don’t think any club can guarantee Champions League. What I have seen so far this season is that we have played what would be considered as rivals for Champions League places, looked the better team in both but struggled with not having a striker on the pitch. If we had either Strand Larsen or Wissa (or both) available for the first 2 games then we would likely be on more than one point now, although no guarantee, and a good chance we can carry this form on throughout the season.
