Agree, I rarely comment on the ref myself. But that game I was actually upset. It was incredibly one sided.
-
Yeah true, but ofcourse VAR can't intervene in most cases. I just mean that the onfield refs has been extra bad, even more than usual.
-
I thought the ref against Brighton was even worse. Atleast this ref gave a soft decision or two our way. The ref against Brighton kept giving them freekicks for diving, and gave them a goalkick when literally everyone was preparing for a corner.
-
Lately it has been the actual referees on the pitch who has had shockers..
-
I'm even fearing the Nottingham away after those at this point. They are in great form, and we're still a bit clueless away from home.
-
Ofcourse we are playing better than we did when the entire team was made of mid to lower table players. But, since we are on the topic of history, these are the last few league finishes before takeover: 10th, 13th, 13th, 12th Some of these finishes were done with the allmighty Bruce as manager.. We will probably get atleast top half, but we have a way better squad than what we had. Yes, we still have some of those less good players, but atleast we have 4-5 higher quality players and more depth. If you look at the starting 11s and the benches in the seasons mentioned, you'd realise how much worse it was. Heck, we used to rely on ASM being fit as much as possible back then..

I think he has a habit of not looking up often enough. As if he just assumes that he's on his own. Have seen it before. Maybe a bit of tunnel vision that some strikers can have.
-
Need to watch the clip rather, still image is often misleading.
-
Without him there would barely be any highlights to show from our side. On that big chance he did well until the final moment.
-
A bit off topic maybe, but we were talking about Bruno.
-
He did well at DM in the 4th place season. The problem is, we are clinging onto stuff that worked 1-2 years ago. We need to move on and evolve, try something new, even if that involves moving away from something that worked so well last year (or even 2 years ago)..

The Guehi saga was pretty much the main issue. Rumours about our best players is not uncommon. The two good players you talk about are constanly being labelled as a backup and one who never played for us. I don't think Anderson would have started many games so far this season, maybe the cup game.
-
Glad we didn't go for Calvert-Lewin.. Especially not for the price that was quoted. Not having strikers available isn't much better, but he is looking worse after all the injuries.
-
I just didn't read the entire discussion at first, looked different out of context.
-
If we were 16th on the away table, in what way were we not shite away from home? In what way does our home performances change what we did away from home? Edit: I thought the entire discussion was about away form in isolation.
-
You know, I remember some of our players talking about how funny of a guy Wilson was. I must say, he does make me laugh more than any other player.
-
We were around 16th in the away table at that point, despite being near top 4. It was only at the end of the season we started picking up points away from home.
-
I think his confidence was also a bit low aswell when he was here. He came here after a pretty rough patch at Burnley.
-
I don't think anyone really thinks he did superb for us, I think the discussion is about over the top comments of him as a player.
-
He's scoring at an unusually high rate yes, might be his best 9 game patch even. But lets not forget that he has scored atleast 10 goals in 5 different seasons before, including 14 last season. I'd say Wellbecks recent scoring form is more of an outlier.
-
Manager of the month in his first month, and then sacked 2 months later.
-
He looked pretty good in pre season last season. Would've played most of our games mid season if it wasn't for that back injury.. We will never know how that would've played out, unfortunately.
-
6 even, if you count Krafth. Not really related to your point, but 4 of them are past 30.. We're going to need atleast 2 more of good quality in the next few years.
-
I went Son in for Saka thinking Son was just sore, as Ange said on wednesday. Apparently he was injured.

Likewise we can play Gordon on the right and Barnes on the left. It's not ideal, but it's not exactly ideal to play some of the ones you mentioned out of position either, especially when we lack depth in several positions. I suppose the perfect scenario would've been to sign a player who was best at right wing, but could also cover left wing pretty well when needed.
