I don't think Forest have a good enough squad, but they had a manager who got the best out of the players. Ange isn't going to be that imo. If Ange fails, the feeling around the club will be far worse than it was, with the crazy owner having replaced a successful manager with a failure. It will be as if they are back to scratch. It will be difficult to find someone who can get that kind of momentum back again from that point, and it's not like they can spend much either. If Ange somehow becomes a success, then sure, the feelgood factor amongst the players and fans will still be there.

Bit early to tell, but it feels like the projects from Villa and Forest are truly falling behind us now. Villa has been crippled a bit financially (with FFP) by having a massive wage bill, and Forest has turned to chaos lately. We have stability with a very good manager who is looking to stay for a good while, and should have some room to spend in future windows. Our wage structure is healthy aswell, and we have a few players who are worth quite a bit if we decide that we need to sell someone in the future. I think we have a much better chance of bouncing back next season if this one isn't all that great, but I have more doubts about Villa or Forest being able to bounce back if they don't turn it around this season.

He only did that because Wilson was in form, so we shoehorned him. He wasn't very effective from the left, like he barely scored a goal or provided an assist, and we as fans grew frustrated about him playing there. Most (if not all) of the goals he scored that season happened when he was a striker. Didn't do anything defensively at all from the left either.

The only thing I have doubts in is the midfield.. But that's a consequence of selling a midfielder when we were already short, and bringing in an injury prone one as the only replacement. Said it all the way back when we sold Longstaff that you need lots of depth in midfield with the amount of games, as we learned in 2023, and we are already seeing that.. If Longstaff really wanted to go then we needed 2 new ones. Hopefully Miley and Willock will surprise me today.

I like Hall and the fact that Howe is truly willing to rotate. Last time in CL the lack of rotation hurt us.
