We did win a lot towards the end of last season. 67 points will be difficult, so I expect that +7 difference to drop a bit. We also had CL games and an injury crisis for about half the season or more, with Tonali suspended through most of the season aswell. It's going to take some work to get this season to be as (or more) impressive than the last one, considering the circumstances. We can't expect every season to be better than the last one though, it rarely ever works like that.

I thought Carabao was exclusively about the single Conference League spot. If someone who qualifies for Europa League or CL wins the Carabao, then the highest placed team outside of european qualification gets the Conference League spot. Not getting top 7 if it ends up warranting a Europa League spot would be a massive disappointment considering no europe this season. Atleast if we also don't win on sunday.

Probably been asked many times already, but is it possible for 7th to be given Europa League if a top 6 team wins the FA Cup, and top 5 get CL?

I was watching those games, and to be honest I think that PSG team would have smashed us on our current form. I don't think Liverpool are the best in the world or anything. I just think that the fact that they don't have any important games left should be motivational enough, and another way to look at it is that they would want to avenge themselves after the defeat. So the mental consequence of that defeat could go both ways imo. I suppose if it actually can go both ways, that is atleast a reason for some hope.

Hall has been a top player for nearly a season, just like Gordon was last season. I bet most of the ones ranking Hall as a C would have Gordon as a B at the end of last season. Despite performing for less than a year.
-
So Gordon is a C then.

Our second best player this season is a C? Would you guys rate Gordon as a C for our squad last season, just because he didn't make the team the season before?

Schär is our new left winger?

20 should be enough for top 5, but if we don't win games like this one, I struggle to see us getting that many points. Edit: actually I realise it would be 64 points, which might not be enough.

I only see 3 games left that are easier than this one. Possibly 4. 4 wins isn't going to give us top 5, so this is a must win to me. Here's their last 5 home games: 2-0 win vs Leicester 0-1 loss vs Brentford 0-2 loss vs Palace 3-2 win vs Fulham 0-5 loss vs Liverpool Being happy with a draw means having a pretty low standard imo.

Fatigue doesn't exist for other teams. Especially not for anyone playing against us.

Looking at their fixtures, I can't see them finishing outside of the top 5 anymore.. Man City has a bunch of "easy" fixtures left aswell. Feels like only the 5th spot is open now.

What if I do worry about the asteroid? Would it never make sense for me to celebrate goals then, because VAR?
-
Doubt Liverpool would even have the slightest of interest with how this season has gone. He hasn't been a key player.

I mean.. This season hasn't been full of injuries. But it's hard to deny that it's the same few most of the time. Pope, Wilson, Isak, Joelinton, Willock and Botman for instance. Botman is still a bit of a doubt in that category admittedly, but we'll see.

Feels like we have a squad full of injury prone players..

I think it's starting to be fair to assume that Man City will get top 5 at this point? They've purely been losing to top teams since that loss vs Villa back in december (they've played 16 games since). Only draw in 2025 was away to Brentford, and the rest are wins. They still can't deal with the heavy hitters, but they take enough points against the rest.
