Not before we get to see Spurs go down.

Would we ever look at Troy Parrott I wonder? Think he'd be a very good upgrade on any of our 3 strikers and wouldn't cost huge money.
-
Agree it would be the right time to sell Barnes. As we've seen with Wissa 29ish is a good age to sell players who are reliant on their pace.
-
Add knee-slide celebrations to the list of things Nick needs to work on.
-
He's living in Monaco where he moved to avoid paying tax. He's the billionaire in the billionaire cookie meme.
-
We thought we were getting that kind of player in Wissa but he showed up looking like Brando for the filming of Apocalypse Now.
-
If prospective signings were put through a series of athletic tests ala the NFL Combine,(time them sprinting short distances for example) I don't think you'd pay anything near what we did for Nick, and might be put off signing him altogether. Not sure you'd sign Wissa either, but presumably he was a bit more athletic before that injury.

Exceptional athlete, average enough skill level imo. Would love him to stay if he really wanted to be here as he can be very effective but has always given off Isak vibes of seeing us as a stepping stone to somewhere else.

He's a much better shot stopper than Ramsdale and has been infinitely better for Brentford this season than Ramsdale has for us. Has had some of his worst games against us though, he was a brilliant backup for Liverpool but the 3-3 draw and the League Cup final against us were maybe his worst days for them. In the previous year's League Cup final 1-0 win over Chelsea he was superb and was generally brilliant in those cup runs, won a few shootouts for them and has a great record on penalties this year too. Been a hero for the Irish team too.

As well as avoiding the "proven Premier League player" market from now on, I think we need to make it policy to never again sign players who down tools to get more money somewhere else. It's a clear indicator of a lack of moral fibre. I bet he knows very little about Sean Connery either.

This season isn't the problem for me. We've had much worse. It's the sense that we've absolutely blown it with our summer spending and set ourselves back years.

He spoke up for the Palestinians. Makes him pretty much my favourite person in the PL anyway. -

Have a look at the Brentford forum. The people who are watching him every week know how good he is. Superb with his feet and really composed too.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.... Caoimhín Kelleher.

Sorry maybe I got the wrong end of the stick there. If fans are being negative in the ground that's a different matter entirely and like you say, affects the atmosphere which in turn affects the performance of the team. -

Brave post, good to read it and best of luck to you. I find the complaining about the complainers a bit bizarre anyway. If you're that positive/optimistic/happy why would you give a s*** if others aren't. The meltdowns/overreactions/savage criticism on here are a huge part of what makes the forum enjoyable. We have similar forums for GAA in Ireland and I'd be very against criticising players too harshly there because the players are amateurs but the Newcastle players&management are on ridiculous money and are thus fair game. As long as the criticism is kept to football only, then vent away imo. -

Brilliant from Wissa. Might pay back a big chunk of his fee tonight. -
He's one of the slowest outfield players in the PL imo. You see it when he's in a race for possession. He can sometimes beat players with brilliant, quick footwork and using his size but never with pace.

Astro you're not wrong about hypocrisy and double standards. Some people will claim a moral high ground while simultaneously clearly getting a sadistic thrill out of seeing you wound up. F*** them. Let it go. It has no bearing whatsoever on your real life. From the few posts of yours I've read, you seem a decent person with a moral compass. In a world where genocide is fine, those trying to stop it are terrorists, and the mass murderers responsible tell us that objecting to it all is bigotry, I find it hard to stay angry at Mason Greenwood. It's not really any of my business but I hope he's learned to be respectful. I hope him and his family are happy now. I hope they're left alone, his wife and kids will suffer if the world keeps dragging up what happened at every turn. I don't really post online anymore, kind of a new year's resolution, not good for my mental health. Back into retirement after this post so won't be replying to replies to this, but in case there are any, I'd just like to say a massive "go f*** yourself" in advance to anyone who disagrees with me.

Hope we never sign a "proven Premier League player" ever again.
