  1. Looks like we've got a free run at Thiaw, wonder why that is, is he supposed to have elite potential? Probably due to us buying the dip (Isak) or before they peak (Bruno) etc
  2. He will be good in Villas champions league games where often games are decided on the counter / rare moments
  3. Not anywhere close to our Bruno, but that's why I was saying he'd be brilliant paired next to someone to help with the distribution and retaining possession Tbf they sold Luiz, I think he'd be great with him
  4. Bit jealous of Villa, maybe a fairly unpopular opinion but I really rate Onana, or at least what we can offer in a good team with a good coach Huge, fast, athletic, eats up space when defending transitions, and is quite ambitious with his passing albiet deffo can be improved Always thought a midfield 3 of Onana at the base, Bruno and then a more attacking midfielder as the other 8 would he such a good midfielder, with Bruno dropping deep to help orchestrate distribution

    Joelinton

    Mr Joelinton how are you
  6. Without even watching Bakayoko, but I'd be gutted if we sold Minteh and signed him, on the basis they are a similar age, position, left footed, similar output etc
  7. With PSR, I feel it's only doable if you're a City / Arsenal. Like if Arsenal went big on a striker or midfielder to try and pip man City to the league, or if Man City got a elite midfielder to try and win the CL more etc, those teams are already earning a fortune and will probably always do well in the CL. If we bought Bowen and didn't make CL, we'd only have our PSR increase through our organic grown, sponsors etc
  8. With other super clubs like Barca, Bayern, Man U etc not pulling their weight recently, they're getting free rein on all the top talent Crazy if they end up getting Mbappe (singing on fee aside) Aphonso Davies and Yoro on frees, happy to wait out their contracts for them
  9. Would be a massive coup if Man U get Yoro
  10. Definitely a smokescreen imo Would take Elanga as a second RW signing to a Mbuemo/Neto etc. But not sure if we'd do this When all the rumours first kicked off the idea of having Olise and then Minteh as second choice was dreamy
  11. Can't see Man City wanting Gordon, would cost too much I think Neto would be a good fit for them, they wouldn't need him to play every game, such is their quality and depth, but adds some pace and counter threat when they need it, the same way Gordon does for us. That's if his hammies could last 20 games a season mind
  12. Is he a RW? Brighton will have loads of depth on the wings then, Mitoma, Buenanotte, Minteh, Adingra, Encisco etc etc
  13. That's true, though I miss the dopamine release of a reliable link to a high level player 😂
  14. Gutted to hear Chiesa isn't the player he used to be, haven't watched him lately but he used to be so exciting Just a thought, but would people rather we got Chiesa for £20M or something and a attacking midfielder like MGW too... Or we only went big on RW Mbuemo/Neto/ Olise type of level etc?
  15. I feel like Pep started doing this after years of getting knocked out the CL usually through goals on the transition / moments where individuals didn't defend well enough Madrid are probably the best example of doing the basics super well in that sense, they're always in the game and there's no one better at knockout football
  16. We'd be unstoppable on the transition with Gordon, Isak and Neto
  17. Is Tonali only missing the first 2 games? Just thinking with the Miley injury that leaves us with Bruno, Joelinton, Longstaff and Willock And that's with Tonali (allegedly) and Willock recovering from injuries over the summer, fantastic.
  18. Looking through tweets on him, Milan fans say that Thiaw is as slow as a snail, but that Kev Kawson said he'd have registered as the 8th fastest player in the prem based on his top speed last year So no middle ground then it appears!
  19. True, though €35m is roughly £29m, so only £9m more than we apparently want Trafford for Not saying £9m is nothing, but if we really had our heart set on him... Then there was the ITK rumours saying we couldn't assure him first team football etc... who knows
  20. Think I said similar before, but since we apparently have some targets who we really want and will pursue and pay a premium for if need be (Livramento, Isak, Gordon are some I heard this about) I keep wondering is he really THAT keeper for us? I know we're hamstrung by FPP have just went through a nightmare to not get points deducted etc. But it's hardly a crazy fee for a potentially world class keeper for 10 years Or maybe I'm just convincing myself that our transfer team know better to ease the pain of not getting him and getting a Trafford etc 😂
  21. Will be very sad to see him go, absolute quality when fit and glad to see he's up near the top of our all time scorers list
  22. Yeah exactly, wish we could at least take a look for a couple months The rumours of Brighton wanting him are very telling
  23. Read this from Liverpool fans / Twitter gossip etc so make of it what you will But all of their good/budget friendly signings that propelled them to the top (along with Klopps management too) , matip, Salah, Wijnaldum, Mane, selling Coutinho for van dijk/Allison etc etc Was supposedly done with Michael Edwards leading, and apparently he left after a power struggle with Klopp, and has just rejoined back now klopp left... And they say Klopp was the one who wanted Nunez for the fortune they paid, Diaz, didn't want to replace Henderson etc, kept the same midfield for 5 years etc etc
  24. If we really wanted him / scouted him extensively, you'd think we'd have still got him even if paying at a slight premium Like we seemed to do with some of our current players
