  1. Sorry if already answered, but could the compensation they'd need to pay for him count towards FFP, or is it strictly players and not excecs that count? And presumably we could do 12 months of gardening leave like we did with Brighton so our short term plans aren't leaned to man u?
  2. You've been told already, but this summer will be his last year of contract, why would anyone pay £60m for a Joelinton who has 1 year left?
  3. Surely if we are after Billing as a cheap option, then surely we'd be expecting to lose 1 or 2 of our current mids? We have 7 centre mids when not injured / suspended You'd think this would be the Longstaff or Andersons of the world, or Joelinton if we don't get his contract sorted? Just can't see Billing being the answer to how we want to progress as a team, unless he is replacing someone we sell for a FPP boost
  4. Sure it's false, but Imagine Chelsea spunking literally £350m on 3 centre mids ?
  5. Arteta is a cnut, but seriously rate what he has done at Arsenal. Hes recruited perfectly for them, only one I'm not sure on is Havertz, but he seems to be slowly getting into his groove. They have a perfect mix of physicality and technical ability, thought they were clearly better than Liverpool the other week Makes that win over them even sweeter
  6. Wonder what pope will be like after his surgery, there's a chance it could knock his confidence / performance. I've had 2 dislocations and the thought of jumping arm outstretched to then land on the floor would terrify me ?
  7. Actually thinking about it we must do, otherwise why would we have bought that young lad from City ?
  8. Maybe a stupid question, but when weve considered the likes of Hall, do we have access to data from the Chelsea academy / scouts who would have seen him play? Would we have scouts at most academies to keep tabs on young players etc? I find it hard to believe we'd commit £35m to someone based off the handful of games he played for Chelsea last season, but not seen anyone mention this kind of stuff. If he has been scouted extensively, then I'd be confident that he'd come good as we seem to have bought well so far
  9. Just seen Van De Ven recently got the record for fastest sprint ever recorded in the PL Completely pointless to think, but imagine him in our team playing the LB / third centre back like Dan Burn does, one could dream
  10. Pretty sure Bruno shouts at him to move over to close down the spare player for one of the goals but he stands there trying to block a shot when Bruno was also there
  11. Same here, thought we were gonna start picking up form and momentum, gutted tbh
  12. Aye he's absolutely rapid Really hope our next central defender is quick, having someone with recovery pace in the middle would help loads. Right now we only have Livramento who can cover ground quickly
  13. Think this is part of the upside of us signing Kuol and Minteh, and the investment to the academy etc
  14. I mean yeah gibbs white and onana were just names I plucked out based on those 2 positions and the rumours we had in Jan But my point was mainly around IF, if we sold Bruno, could or would we consider getting a DM and AM and evolving our style a bit... Consider whatever names float your boat ?
  15. I heard that yeah, but if it's true if he hits the 10 games then Fulham pay close to 0, surely we could afford that? Who knows, maybe we couldn't do a second loan from the same club etc
  16. Just a thought but if we did sell Bruno, not that I want us to, but wonder if we would slightly change our approach as a result of the FPP boost we'd get We'd be able to sign both a DM and a AM (onana and gibbs white for example). So would both be able to improve our defensive ability and add more quality in the final third However we'd lose Bruno's amazing press resistance and ability to dictate play Wonder what we'd do ?
  17. Yeah would have loved that for here, especially as Isak can play with a number 9, so having Isak fit / on the pitch wouldn't directly be a restriction on his minutes
  18. I have thought, could a team sell someone at market value, then immediately buy him back at the same price, thus receiving the FPP boost of the full price but spreading the cost over the contract term Obviously you would need 2 teams in on this and it it would absolutely be dodgy as fuck ? But I guess what you said with villa is similar, albeit a much more ethical way
  19. It's not as if Howe can be totally trusted either, didn't he point blank lie about Barnes in the summer while he was with his new team mates or something?
  20. Put £5 on an acca... If West Ham win tonight I get £427 Or I can cash out now and get £122 What do yous think? Bournemouth are pretty decent these days, surely a draw is a likely result
  21. Wonder if Howe is persisting with Burn over him, because Livramento can cover several positions as and when needed and seems to be our first sub. Whereas Burn has no substitute purpose unless an injury to CB or LB
  22. He's an absolute killer against teams who don't sit back, no suprise his record is amazing against the best teams in the league this season as they rightfully try and press forward
  23. Agree, something the top teams are good at Noticed it a lot when Liverpool and Man City have played each other over the years, no team is too far from getting it in equilibrium
  24. Their fans have been shite all game, thought they'd be great considering their league position
