    Marc Guehi

    😂😂
  2. Nothing better than seeing him play well and helping our push for CL. He's an absolute legend
  3. @brummie good confidence boost for your semi final
  4. Random one but was Fernandinho for city similar in that he had elite pace as a defensive mid?
  5. The man's acceleration is a joke
  6. Deffo works well depending on the opposition Man City with Haaland, Madrid have Bellingham, Arsenal with Havertz etc. We use Joelinton as a target man sometimes
  7. Yeah hats off to Bournemouth, they were class and had made me want them to achieve Europe of some sort at the expense of their competitors Fulham/Brighton etc Every season we seem to meet a non top 6 club who batters us, this season it was Bournemouth, last season I think Palace away, and the season before it was Villa away
  8. I'm sure Howe would have watched Villa/PSG and thought about how we can destroy their right hand side on the counter with Tino/Barnes
  9. I think with all the PSR stuff, they are very much our peers, and we are neck to neck in many ways on and off pitch Next few seasons are huge for the 2 of us, I hope we do better than them in the league + Europe so in theory we can increase our revenues faster than them
  10. I was one of the few who thought Onana was a coup for Villa. Have been proved wrong, he hasn't impressed this season, albeit injuries
  11. PSG absolutely delightful on the counter, and Villa seem so vulnerable to it If we win tomorrow, would be happy for us to mid-block the shit out of them on Sunday and explode forward any chance we get
  12. Saving their best team for games against Southampton
  13. Would love Arajuo Deffo a very good RCB. Having elite pace Would allow us to play slightly higher up the pitch, helping the midfield even more, helping against transitions etc
  14. Who is everyone's ideal target for the RCB slot in summer then? Feel like I don't have much of an idea compared to RW etc Ideally we want someone who's fast, good with the ball and good in the air (sounds like the perfect CB tbh ...), right footed, can be aggressive and follow his man into midfield, probably under the age of 26 and can start now at a high level I was never that crazy on Guehi, especially for the rumoured money, but after listing the qualities above, he ticks every box other than being good/excellent in the air Anyone got any suggestions? I mentioned Diomande in another thread but the twitter tacticos have shut up about him, so maybe he ain't a that...

    Harvey Barnes

That video was a brilliant reminder to me of how far Joelinton has come 🥹
  16. Yeah, not sure how best to put it, but seems to have so much focus and intensity recently, rather than seeming relaxed / not at full pelt. Feel like his unreal physical attributes are being used well Thought Hall had a similar transformation in terms of this 'intensity', comparing last season to this season, and it's something I'm hoping Miley can show next season too
  17. Feel like the current form / context of the team is a better judge than the PPG E.g Bournemouth were on fire when they beat us a few month ago, best team we played all season Now I'm pretty sure Villa will get 3 points
  18. Whatever happened to all the hype around Ousmane Diomande? I remember he was meant to be one of the best young CB's around, tall, fast, good on the ball, loads of big clubs interested etc Haven't heard his name mentioned in a while, just wondering if he's had a poor season and if he'd be available on the cheap..
  19. That Tonali goal was insane, the pass, touch and flick before it all immense
  20. Tino and Hall, but after that we don't have good cover (assuming Tripper goes) Krafth is steady and defensively solid, but wouldn't want him starting a large number of games if we are trying to be a team who wins a cup and qualifies for UCL each season Good shout on KWP, sure there is a Palace fullback also out of contract, but I know nothing of him
  21. Also Craig Hope is going very heavy on the Cunha content, so weird there is all this talk when the season is still ongoing
  22. With Trippier likely going, I definitely think we need a new 'very good' full back and it's a pretty big priority they can fill in well
  23. I think at worst we will draw with Villa. We always match up well against them Less confident against Brighton
  24. One thing is for sure, the very top teams have a variety of players / skillsets for different situations which we don't at the minute Cunha certainly gives us that
  25. Not read the article but my thoughts too. Why would we give Hope any idea of who we actually want this Summer, unless it's a red herring like you said Do like the idea of a versatile forward mind
