  1. Completely pointless for me to say but imagine if got Ekitike, Mbeumo and Cunha, probably about £200m for the 3 of them, would be worth it imo. Not that we had a chance anyway
  2. I deffo think the rest of the league is stronger now, I think if you took the 22/23 team and dropped it in the league now, I don't think we'd get 71 points
  3. Speaking of Howe's desire for height, I struggle to see him ever fielding a team with Hall LB, Tino RB, and Ramsey LCM (no Joelinton) I think we'd all agree that's our most talented way to line up, but I wonder if we will ever see it, at least frequently with everyone fit
  4. I really want us to get Acheampong, has played right back and CB, looks supremely talented, plus we love the Chelsea graduates (Hall, Tino) and they love selling them. He could be 2nd choice RCB + RB, and I'm sure he'd get plenty of minutes, he's only 19 Would be happy with him + a LB Would love us to revamp our wingers, selling 1 and getting a Akliouche type, we have enough pace merchants already CM as well, but depends on how Ramsey gets on
  5. Who the hell has 3 good number 9's on the books Osula is as good as it gets for a third choice, reminds me of this topic ages ago where loads were obsessed with having 3 strikers. No top club does that, they have 5/6 quality options across the front 3 that they use We have Woltemade, Wissa, Gordon, Barnes, Elanga, Murphy, that's 6, then Osula If they aren't performing well enough... Thats a different conversation
  6. So say we don't finish top 8 but finish near the top of the 9-24 group Do we then play 2 games against someone from the bottom of the 9-24 group, or is it random? And then if we progress, do we play someone near the bottom of the 1-8 group?
  7. Hopefully he's not tapped up like Isak Not that I think he'd strike like Isak, but if someone guarantees they'll bid for him and pay him what we can't, naturally he might lose motivation for us
  8. Nice €6.3M banked from the 3 wins so far as well 👌
  9. I have too much confidence in our scouting to think he won't come good eventually However, if he turns out to be our first genuine flop, then it will probably mean we will be more open to non-prem players / players with more footballing ability
  10. I really liked that long ball over to Joelinton. He's always been good at that. Tbh I don't mind us long, suits our transition based style and helps us when playing against a press Though who can do this if Joelinton doesn't play? Woltemade has the size but is too slow to run down the channels

    Overrated players

I think he has the record for fastest sprint ever in PL football
  12. Rights, can't wait for tomorrow man Probably need 15-17 points to finish top 8 don't we? 9 points after 4 games would be absolutely unreal, albeit we'd have 3 away games and only 1 home game left to make up the other points

He makes me sick Rio like
  14. Maybe not Not sure how the 'increases' with the same sponsor, or changing to new ones work. You'd think getting CL twice and winning a cup would be grounds to say 'we've performed better than Chelsea, Tottenham etc, we want sponsors closer to them' But probably not that simple 🤷
  15. Not bad if so, 25% increase We'd have £500m next year if do hit £400m and still manage a 25% increase
  16. Never thought we'd need to, but with out wingers so out of form, Wissa could be a good shout on the LW with Wolte CF Playing more of an inside forward, like a Salah, Wolte dropping deap to create the space in behind. Width coming from Hall / Ramsey supporting in the LCM
  17. Hard agree to both of these

    Nick Woltemade

Disagree on Ekitike like, he looks absolutely quality. I'd have him over all the strikers that moved in the summer

    Nick Woltemade

Is he not running at about the same pace as Burn during that counter?
  20. Deffo Shame as well as Tonali, Bruno Paqueta would have been an amazing midfielder to watch
  21. Would have loved Paqueta but think Ramsey has that LCM / more attacking minded CM role once he's ready for it
  22. If Botman can't play tomorrow, reckon it will be Thiaw at LCB and Burn/Schar LB/RCB?
  23. Yeah that's fairs Arsenal really do have a stacked squad, they've spent £1 billion or so very well under Arteta. All big, young, strong, fit, versatile players who can play pretty much any style In the last 3 seasons we've shown that we are a 60-70 point team pretty consistently. I'd like our next step to be a team that's gets 70+ points, it guarantees UCL and we'd maybe be in the title 'race' for a month or 2 I imagine until the 80-90 point teams steam ahead. Though this is only our second season managing the CL, so easier said than done etc
