Just letting everyone know market value for when Al-Hiali come in for £140m as a starting bid
-
There'll be loads of Sunderland fans that think they can win games when only at 90%, but they won't. Be conceding 3+. Going to have be at 100% levels every game, every minute to stand a chance of a point in the first place.
-
Being further south, have some Ipswich friends who were of similar mindset last season. Back to back seasons of winning, felt once they got first two games out of the way their quality would show. Reality check when Fulham at home was very hard fought point (banking on that being win) and the theme continuing up to they were smashed away to an awful West Ham side. Hope only remained for while after because Wolves were down with them, so it was very much "Can stay up with 25 points" positive outlook, instead of the 40 that you often need Ipswich are a far better side than Sunderland too.
-
And so be it. Rather that happen and enjoy three seasons of him than sell before.
-
Rather keep Isak and see him go £0 than ever sell him to a Prem side. He’s fun, and I want us to enjoy him and not another side, otherwise what’s the point in football.
-
As said before, I’m more concerned about us still not getting the CEO / DoF sorted out at this point rather than transfers. Nickson will be leading on that right now with Howe and others for signings, but the structure above is a huge void and has been for a while now.
-
Bet this guy pushes for Chiesa. Their fans will laud it up, then he’ll be injured for majority of season.
-
I mean, we missed out on him 12 months ago. I’d fucking hope there’s plenty of different plans going into this summer and we are not now needing to pivot away
-
They’re all prem and English (or Homegrown), which comes with £25m+ values off the bat. We’ll get there eventually for churning out the sales in similar fashion, but PSR probably changes that makes it less lucrative by then so the big clubs can still stay ahead.
-
If we didn’t already know, last summer was a total fuck up wasn’t it. Done bloody wonders to then win a trophy and qualify for UCL
-
And on cue, there we go.
-
Who’s signing Gomez if they go down? Reason he would be going to Sunderland in first place is because no-one wants him for fee and wage.
-
O’Nien screams a VAR red in first two games, same for Ballard. They are a donkey team where reality will hit hard and the boos after 10 games and half empty stadium will be very funny.
-
They need to sign at least two top CBs, as Konate is off next summer on a free and VVD is getting on. Feel Guehi will be a near certainty to join Liverpool IMO.
-
That’s a very big fee for someone that’s still looked more ropey than good. Big gamble on the potential. I’d want to see more from him for us to make a move at that price point.
-
Just seen we’re on TNT first weekend, so I’d say actually a VERY high chance the Liverpool game is Sunday.
-
Hard to say, depends what order the TNT/Sky get first dibs on games. Assume Sky first, then TNT then rest Sky. Which case, Sky will want Everton game on TV for first pick, then it’s our game against Liverpool and City/Spurs the TNT pick. Which you would expect TNT to pick ours.
-
Yep. If they don’t have at least 5 points after those, then they’re fucked early doors.
-
Those games after UCL are killers, bar Fulham at home. Need to address squad depth urgently or it’s just so many dropped points to teams we shouldn’t. Sunderland (A) Sunday Midday, after a hard slog away in UCL is giving me jitters already.
-
It’s only taking place because Infantino is a proper egotistical bellend, where he wants it to be all about him and this club World Cup is all about him. Then it’s only happening financially because the Saudis have brought the 2034 World Cup, so as a thank you conventiently purchased a stake in DAZN that covers the TV costs.

Osula to Forest for £30m
-
Edwards being played again. We'll be signing someone else this week.
-
Been quite disappointed. Hoped he'd step up this tournament and show a different level giving his age and Prem games under his belt, but he's looked very clumsy with the ball.
-
Spurs (A) would be logical if Sunderland are giving home game first on the Saturday. Spurs in super cup midweek before so will be playing Sun I’d say.
