  1. Like I would love our identity to be as we move forward, the club that sings young English/British talent, instead of them being ready made. Mix that in with the established stars from abroad will be something you can get behind as a journey to the top.
  2. Dibling and Trafford would make me wet. Team going further into a mixture of top young English talent and top prime European/Continental Talent. Lovely.
  3. Peak Dubravka MOM performance like his debut all those years ago v Man Utd please. Sign out on a high.
  4. Getting a pal in ready for Salah arrival in summer
  5. Hopefully we've got their number on the corners. 11 last time and it didn't seem to trouble us, so hopefully same again. Because that is genuinely their threat with no Saka. Don't fear their attackers in open play.
  6. If Sven Botman is potentially good on the RCB side, how about Murillo for LCB? Young, improving after his first season in Prem. Should be at a fee that's on the lower side compared to your named ones such as Guehi (like I'm guessing £40m+ could swing it). Feels with how we want our CBs to be aggressive, he's the perfect player. Then we could keep Schar for one season with a view of a younger CB coming in for RCB to challenge Botman long term. Kelly then succeeds Burn as the back up LCB further down the line.
  7. It’ll average out across the season. Giving how open it is below, giving themselves a great chance of top 7 though. Like a 25 point 2nd half of season would give them Europe you feel.
  8. When those three are the clubs linked, it doesn’t picture him well. All in a mess.
  9. Rather we just get rid of players this window, bring in one (GK) and maybe a young player at CB or RW, and spend rest of time getting ground work done for the big deals in summer. So they can come in early, get full pre season and help us hit the ground running next season, especially if we’re in Europe.

    Tosin Adarabioyo

Apparently Chelsea want a new CB this window Got Tosin, Diasi, Zouma and Badishille on the books who are deemed surplus to requirements. Must be what, £150m worth of transfers there and around £500k pw in wages. Best CB they have loaned out IMO.
  11. I mean, they should've appointed him in the summer. Instead of wasting money and time on Lopetegui. Could be a good gig for Potter, but comes down to the summer. Pacqueta finally gets his ban, they sell Bowen to raise funds, it's suddenly a team down a couple of levels where many other players are in their 30s and fans gagging to boo early doors. Enough there to work with in short term to get the confidence going the right way.

    Tosin Adarabioyo

It went as many predicted. But at least he got to play some dead rubber Europa Conference games. He's still got a handsome contract so can sit back and pick it up over multiple loans.

It is a wild take, but Tuchel will only be thinking about World Cup. And if Saka is the main guy on RW, he’ll probably be looking at someone who can just be a direct workhorse for the last 10 minute of games. His squads I can see being quite a bit different to what Carsley was picking.

Considering he’s only in job for 18 months to win, I think there’ll be some experience in there. Fully expect one of (if not both) Walker and Trippier in the squad. Probably some far left CM option too, as all the ones listed, none you want playing deepest if you are to get the best out of each one. With Bowen and Saka injured before first squad, if Murphy keeps up form, I think there’s a genuine chance he gets called up.
  15. Theres a difference developing young players / playing good players, and what Kelly is. Like Burn before he joined us was a very good defender. He didn’t suddenly become better.
  16. This is a crap game. One side with many bodies behind the ball, other playing slowly. But needs must to pick up points away.
  17. Dry pitch, think he controls that first time and shoots.
  18. Said other week, why not both. Both would still get regular minutes and both can play together.
  19. Full strength Man Utd. So if it’s a crap performance where there’s issues with formation, what can be the excuse?

    James Trafford

He needed another 12 months at least making mistakes / learning. I was keen on signing him and loaning back for a season because of that. Signing him in Jan to get ahead of others is still fine as he’s had more time playing as a regular.
  21. But on his wages? He’s likely on a top deal that no other club will want to take on and for the length, so it would come down to if he wants to push a permanent move for less wages and remain in Prem whilst he has a reputation still. Or it’s multiple loans, us subsidising wages for many seasons in hope someone finally buys him. Can’t be trusted RCB, he’s 3rd in line at LCB, we will sign another CB, so he’s basicallly Hall back up. Which if Hall stays injury free and starts 95% of games, I think that’s fine. But he’s not a CB option for me long term.
  22. Liverpool going deep in all competitions and needing to squeeze in 2 rearranged games at a minimum can fuck them up. But no-one is close to capitalise.
  23. Big L for Prem if they lose a game to some snow, and it’s got to be squeezed in some mid week slot.
  24. Our press was good again today first half. Feels we’ve finally got that sorted out recent weeks which has helped the change in form. Also the CBs are being aggressive again to pressing up. Occasionally it’s catching us out with lack of pace, but it’s a style we have to stick with so new plays can slot in easily. Does feel a RW and a CB with genuine pace, and we go up a solid level and cement ourselves as a top 6 side that can regularly be in the top 4 push.
  25. If Kelly can’t be trusted to start a game, not sure why he would be trusted to come on for a good portion of the 2nd half.
